I fought in many martial arts tournaments and never seen a good Capoeria fighter nor any of this style win a fight...sure there may be a "few" in the world who can pull of a win once in awhile..but rarely..useless martial art...they should catergorize this as "just" a dance style.

I know all about it's "history" if that is what you are alluding to...save it..as a martial art...capoeira" is useless...like I have said...rarely does it win a fight..and that is what a "martial art" is supposed to do..defend you...I liken it to Tai Chi ..useless..both are more dance than "martial".

I know all about its history and I did attend a class once..I have over 20 years of Martial art experience and hold 4 black belts in four different martial arts and working on my second dan in one of them. I also have boxed and teach my own street style fighting martial art....I still say capoeria is a JOKE!!

You don't think with all my YEARS of experience in the MARTIAL ARTS and with real life fights..and seeing capoeria in tournaments (fighting this style) and seeing it used in class that one day and knowing its history...I don't know what I am talking about?....you must be a little child...go get some real fighting experience under your belt..then come talk to me about your "capoeria"..let's see after someone beats the crap out of you and your little caporiea didn't help you...lol

Capoeira is a real martial art, and not just a dance. Do you actually know that it's not about the fighting moves, it's about building your physical strenght and cordination.

I think you have never EVER even been in a real fight. And don't start on me, cause I had to with my friend defend ourselves from a crazy rapist who was on doze. And believe me, we didn't use any capoeira, or karate or any of those.

in the real fight, it's just the basic, the dance part is a cultural memory of the time when the slaves that created capoeira masked it as a dance because it was forbidden to train any kind of martial art among them, it's easy to prejudge something, specially on the internet, i can relate to you since you don't seem to know anything about capoeira, and you never saw a "roda" ,

a circle of capoeira, brazilian style, no mats, and way faster, you would be amazed to see kids KOing big grown mans.
