I really love watching this video over and over again. I opens our eyes to every wonderful things around us that sometimes we forgot to be grateful of. Being grateful everyday is like making everyday a good day. :)
If you like this you'd like the film "America's Heart and Soul" by Louie Schwartzberg. It is presented in the same style, an intimate yet broad portrait of the American experience. I highly recommend it.
Looking at these great scenes, I am both exhilarated and saddened. Every summer I go to a place where nature had been well preserved; But over recent years, small hydro-plants were built along a beautiful river. Last year, When I drove along the river, seeing the lifeless water, leafless trees, and drying banks, I was depressed tremendously - disappointed by our greed, by our irresponsible acts. If only could we be grateful to our mother earth, we'd be suffering not the crisis we face now.
I can't stop watching this. It reaches into me and grabs my inner soul in a way I haven't experienced in a long time. Thank you to its creators for giving this gift to us!
@SiftyFix I love that you thought of this. The idea of blending beautiful imagery with your own music choice is the idea behind my upcoming project Moving Art. Thanks for exploring and sharing the experience.
@SiftyFix your suggestion is good too.. it does fit with what the girl is saying, about exploring. It is a different from Brother Rass-Steindl's message. Both are good messages, different but both good.
How did you find these exceptional people? I little girl seems to really be speaking from her heart, not scripted. The older gentleman's voice is clear, soothing, timeless, sage, and wonderful. I have shared this with many people: somtimes for the beauty of the sounds and images, sometimes just to try to spread the joy, and most often as a token of my gratitude. It is a wonderful gift to give, and it is wonderful that you have given it to the world. Thank you. Namaste <3

@Sarkrim Figures the message of this video would be lost on someone who thinks the word "gay" can be used as an insult. If you don't have something positive to contribute, then don't comment at all.
Did you hear the kid at the start? She is one of the lucky few who has parents that realize the importance of a creative upbringing. Home is the nucleus of society. School teaches you to remember and repeat, (and even more so with T.V.) Creativity and independent though start at home, Read to your kids, teach them to draw etc. Don't wait for School or T.V. to do it for you. Until the majority wakes up to this, and acts on it , Society will remain an endless sum of zeros.
This is so beautiful and true. I am sitting in the hospital with the most magical, joyful person I have ever met... my wife. She has had a large stroke and is not doing well. She has multiple personalities, and they are all an amazing loving part of my life. They have all enriched my life more than anyone knows. Remember to appreciate the ones you love every single day of your life.
I have lived my life this way for as long as I can rememeber and largely given up on finding others who think the same way. People around you are switched off, and such consider you (and people who think this way) as odd. When you have realized all this, it actually makes you very much alone. Because those around you don't care for these values. You just want more then anything to find somone else who thinks the same way. I haven't met them in person but this video DOES GIve me hope! At least
Look at the comments binary reaper. There are a lot of people here who think this way. And you are never alone. Remember the people around you..even the ones who don't share your perspective. each have an amazing story to share. They are life giving water for those who wish to drink.
The saying goes, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Everyday, I look out my window and the view of the water takes my breath away and settles my soul. We've lived in this place for almost 25 years and I'm always astounded as if I'm seeing it for the first time. Appreciation and gratitude are the cures for cynicism, worry, and guilt. Living in the present IS the only time we have. If one wants to do something, do it. And keep the wonder of a child alive...
Why is everyone so crude? This features some amazing imagery, obviously a lot of time and patience was needed in making this this, and for this, I congratulate him for creating a wonderful piece of art.
unfortunately the 'moving clouds' are mostly produced by chemtrails designed to poisons, GMO is destroying our crops and poisoning our food, the wonderful people around us may soon suffer in civil war as hunger, loss of jobs, loss of homes area increasing..... and WW111 in many ways already started; i say, people wake up to what is really going on around you and take a positive non-violent action of civil disobedience in what is so very wrong
@9samten Most people will agree that we must all be active in doing our part to make the world a better place. We will all enjoy life much more; however, if we start from the mentality of "how fortunate am I to have all this good in my life?!" We should not stand idly by while poor decisions are passed in government or why our siblings suffer, but that doesn't mean we can't also sing, express gratitude and share a contagious smile with a stranger or loved one.
@richardvvideos 'yes, we shall sing, express gratitude and share a contagious smile with a loved one or a stranger', but not live in a 'la la la land' devoid of reality; this video in many ways is simply not true of what is presently around us; playing on human emotions, sentiments to earn its popularity it poses a danger in that people refuse to see really what is done to them; that this is true many disbelieve chemtrails, h.a.a.r.p, fluoride... your vid is supporting this naiveté
@VobisPacem huh? surely, you're jesting; tell that to all those with severe allergies and dying from cancer; but perhaps only when it hits your family will you start seeing reality and do something to help others in this 'real' world of today
How wonderful?! That was very nice...well, I have to get back to work now; getting my family ready for the the Civil War that is stalking American, even now...and, of course, there is World War 3 (brought to us, yet again, by the Jews and their Christian henchmen) to prepare for - as if that were possible! :D
PS...I've always found lucid dreaming to be infinitely better than the best of this world. ;)

Inspiring, beautiful, poignant and moving. Tears flowed as gratitude rose from the depths of my being. As a cancer survivor and a person who has health challenges, I am so blessed for every day as I remember to be consciously aware of every moment, every breath and every gift. Thank you for this gift! ;-)
18 dislikes so far...Well, I guess in all things there should be balance, good and bad and all that but, I am glad however that the balance has leaned to the likes in this case. Louie Schwartzberg has done an amazing thing with this work. The world surely could use more of this. Kudos! The little girl is well...a little girl, and indeed intelligent beyond her years. One love.
It's great that this video inspires people, but for me, it does the opposite. I've seen so many of these calls for gratitude (not searching for them, just seeing them recommended or randomly coming across them) that I'm starting to get really sick of the idea of always having to cherish everything to its absolute maximum. It gets exhausting and irritating if you're asked to do it all the time. I'll cherish my freedom to take things for granted and be preoccupied once in a while instead.
wow it's great . . . but something is wrong how can everything be free if nothing in this world is free . . . if even water are owned by greedy person . . . how can you see beauty if everyday you struggle to have something beautiful . . .
This was the most beautiful and powerful thing I've ever seen. You're absolutely brilliant, and you have such a pure view on life that I can't help but sit here and admire every second of this video. I look at the sky every day, but I'll never see it through the same eyes.
I appreciate life so much and it makes so happy that others are bring grateful too!
Yesterday I was in airplane and I was watching the earth and clouds, very exciting, and I was surprised why people look at this awesome beauty and then they close the window or simply turn their look away! How can we see this great beauty and ignore it!! The formation of clouds, the islands which was like a carpet on the ocean.... that was incredible.
@pyrobedlam You can't be serious. I've watched the intro several times now just to see that girl express her thoughts. I think it's incredible how smart and creative she is in what she sais. And of course we all know that there's more life in imagination, in the depths of the mind than there is on plain TV.
@pyrobedlam And it's comments like that which drive our world into what it is. "annoying little nose picking girl" Now that whole video was about viewing the world as beautiful and seeing things that are not seen every day. When I see that young girl, I think about her future, her heart that is not yet tainted with the evils of the modern world. Your view of her as annoying says a lot about you, now doesn't it?
@pyrobedlam not once did she pick her nose in this video. that girl's a sweetheart, and she's one of the few that from an early age knows that tv can't compare to the outside world and all the people in it.
This isn't just a video, This is art. Well.. Showing all of the true art we have around us, Which we never seem to notice. Open your eyes, Let it all sink in.. It'll make the best day of your life every day. ^-^
At first I thought this was going to be a hokey blend of pretty pictures and platitudes, but it was like looking into the still waters of a lake and the longer I looked the deeper I saw. And what I saw was beautiful.
This made me smile and think about the countless wonderful things I have been given. If I could give this video a badge, I'd give it a very large trophy instead. Up until now I thought life was too boring for me. I think this hit me with with the force of a full-blown punch right between the eyes, and it made me realize just how much I have to appreciate in the time I have here on earth. I really can't describe how beautiful, powerful, and inspiring this was. Thank you for posting this video.
@MrChackeh Agree, I thought life was too boring and earlier this week I really was about to lose it. I didn't know what to do anymore, and this video has really reached out to me.. to bring me back up and realize how beautiful this life really is.
What a beautiful message to share. You gotta take a moment to really appreciate the things you see and experience, because who knows when you will see them again?
The message to this video was rather warming. It shows to be grateful for the "simple" gifts given to us everyday. That we should cherish them and open our hearts to everything in our lives.(That's just my opinion though.) (Got here from DevaintArt)
I watched the Gratitude video - completely mesmerizing. Gratitude is number one on my list of things to remember every single day. From the breath that I breath, an my wonderful family who all love me. But now I will certainly take the time to look at the faces. Your faces on this video were so real. Wonderful insight and ability to capture it all that way. I am grateful that I had the chance to watch this - and now I move on to the others that you have done.
Hi Louie, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!. Thank you very much for giving us the gift of such a wonderful video, such a powerful message!!!!. Could you have it subtitled in spanish so I can share it in México?, or perhaps allow me to do it?. Saludos desde Cuernavaca, Morelos, México.
This moved me to tears when I saw it earlier tonight. It encapsulates everything I hold dear and true yet have so easily forgotten in the past. My determination this year and every year is to keep the spirit of this film alive within my heart and my actions. Thank you for this gift of a film.
Thank you for the gift of you through your stunning work, your beautiful soul, and the beauty you show us. I am deeply, deeply grateful. Thank you to the earth, to the wondrous little girl and the wonderful old man and to you. I will share it with everyone. It is such a heart opening film. I am helping on a film about planetary healing. We aspire to the same beautiful heart opening. 'The Blue Jewel.' I love you, smile at you, bless you, and thank you for sharing this amazing life with me. xxxx

lmao… "when you get more imagination…" *digs in nostril* " it makes you want to go deeper in"… beautiful words, though!

Aside from the annoying little nose picking girl for an intro..pretty neat video!
pyrobedlam 2 months ago
@pyrobedlam How was she annoying? Sounded like she was genuinenly smart.
Vmt16 2 months ago
@pyrobedlam You can't be serious. I've watched the intro several times now just to see that girl express her thoughts. I think it's incredible how smart and creative she is in what she sais. And of course we all know that there's more life in imagination, in the depths of the mind than there is on plain TV.
RevoBong 2 months ago in playlist Uploaded videos 3
@pyrobedlam And it's comments like that which drive our world into what it is. "annoying little nose picking girl" Now that whole video was about viewing the world as beautiful and seeing things that are not seen every day. When I see that young girl, I think about her future, her heart that is not yet tainted with the evils of the modern world. Your view of her as annoying says a lot about you, now doesn't it?
ColonelChutney 2 months ago
@pyrobedlam not once did she pick her nose in this video. that girl's a sweetheart, and she's one of the few that from an early age knows that tv can't compare to the outside world and all the people in it.

God's Speed.

'The Blue Jewel.' I love you, smile at you, bless you, and thank you for sharing this amazing life with me. xxxx
