People who take this condition seriously usually refer to it as Arnold Chiari MALformation.
while I am not against chiropractic treatment, I am hesitant to trust anything you say, since you not only fail to pronounce it correctly but your thought process on the whole ordeal just seems to be greatly askew and out of touch with reality. Maybe it seems snobby to point out also that your spelling and grammar are horrifying.
dear seandamondotcom. Manipulation of the neck shud always be avoided on every human being. On the other hand if you use the word adjustment meaning a correction, every human being who has a stressor to the brainstem shoud have it removed. The brain then controls the nervous systens better. if you send me your e-mail I'll ggive you more information Dr. Dickholtz Sr.
The results we've achieved with patients is real. Shirley avoided surgery through this technique.
But more research has to be done. Perhaps the underlying cause of this malady is a subluxation of the atlas vertebra. If you read testimonials of ACM patients who underwent surgery, you will find that many do not find relief.
Should we investigate new medical techniques or dismiss them because we have a bias against chiropractic?
@doctordickholtz Dear Dr. - Please understand that I do not have a bias against Chiropractic treatment. There are numerous positives with Chiropractic treatments. You are correct, most patients who have ACM Decompression surgery don't find relief most of the time. Atlanto-Axial subluxation/ instability could very well be the underlying cause. If so, shouldnt manipulation of the neck be avoided? most pt's will eventually progress to syrinx / syringomyelia if ACM is not treated.
its not easy with Chiari... im only 9 and i got through it
