I bought one for the after Christmas sale price of $73 out the door. It is really a great gadget and now I'm working with actionscript 2 and some haxe to try playing with some apps.
I got one from Best buy and had to exchange it because it couldn't initiat, the second unit was the same, after an hour or so trying Best buy customer servise , insignia customer servis and chumby online live help still didn't work, so frustrated , returned it yesterday. also the speakers sounded really cheap my first and last insignia brand product
Thanks for the disassembly help!
Orphaned by Best Buy, they run the Chumby 8 firmware and are frequently available on Ebay for USD $50 or so. Now, can we make them run Debian?

Awesome teardown! SDA/SCL would be indicative of I2C rather than SPI, but hey, what's circuit level serial bus nomenclature between friends?
I look forward to the next vid!
