  • @81broncoman squid scrotum dipshit.

  • 240p we meet again

  • To all the BBC bigwigs,.. you're making cuts in 2012, so am I. Instead of your £145 you will be demanding from me, you're only going to get £70 and not a penny more. :)

  • @londongamer I couldn't agree with you more!

  • hammond like morgans, his opinion on what is hideous is void

  • 240p for top gear... that has to be a crime..

  • Jensen Interceptor and Porsche 928 GT would be classics . . .

  • My dad had a Citroen XM. He loved it!

  • subaru SVX? anyone?

  • @DominicCoffey noone :D

  • @EvoPower2010 why noot?? D:

  • 90's Subaru Impreza = Crock. Come on, who has an impreza from that time period? (Well, I do cos' i just bought a turbocharged version off ebay for £300. I wonder if I should sell it for £1500?)

  • Bah, they always fuck up these car walls somehow.

Let's just hope they never figure out Facebook...

  • Citroen have built some interesting and innovative stuff, for sure. The Kegresse half-track for instance. But, while I don't disagree with their choice, can we agree the Saxo will never be a classic?

  • @KrillLiberator Citroen built a half-track!?

  • @69BlueL88 Yep - in the thirties. A rather cute little thing, used as a staff car, light truck or armoured car (as the P-17) depending on the bodywork, a couple of them were used by some intrepid explorers to cross the Sahara quite famously. The staff car (soft-top) version does look like something from Bugsy Malone until you suddenly realise that, instead of pedals it's got tank tracks at the back!

  • Citroen DS5 that's rare, nice looking and it's a classic

  • ls400 Rocks

  • @TheLastMag

Those early LS 400's are classics. They aren't built that good anymore. The new ones are nice looking but they are shit.

  • Anybody knows in which episode was that?

  • @v3nouko Series 3, episode 5.

  • @colpi23 he got rid of that a long time ago, since then he has had a Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and he currently owns a Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series...

  • when is he gowing to sell his sl? :p

  • "Beautiful" and "classic" in the same sentence with an "overpriced Toyota (Lexus)"? Are these morons on crack?

  • @jakemiller5000 It's James May, he has an interesting taste and method of thinking, if you actually watched Top Gear you would know this u moron. And the Lexus was actually a breakthrough in technology and luxury cars when it first came out, thats why he thought itd be a classic

  • @jakemiller5000 dude, everyone's entitled to their opinion

  • The Citroën XM will become a classic, for sure.

  • Rare and interesting doesn't mean its valuable. I have a '56 Packard with 4-wheel torsion bars and auto-leveling suspension. Its not worth nearly as much as a '56 Chevy.

  • I need a live stream with all the infos about Jeremy buying/selling cars.

  • none of these modern cars will become classics imo.... just old

  • @22ness0hayden Too right.

  • The chick behind james @ 0:20 is soo hot. Me want.

  • james may ir dead on, the LS400 is a great car and a perfect used by these days. richard hammond is a peen arse

  • damn i feel much better now after watching this vid lol sold my ae86 for $AUD400 bux did not last very long after advertising it on the paper. 6:3o first call without looking at it the dude said he'll be in my house in 20mins got the cash was very happy sold it really fast after 8am i got 20 plus calls enquiring if i still have the car advised its sold after 3 weeks saw my car on ebay selling for 14k's the dude dropped in a 4agte put some nice rims on it got sold for 16ks oh well..

  • Gotta love it when Hamster and Cap'n Slow just spike Jezzer with hard facts.

  • these guys are tools. he puts a citroen in the classic and the lexus in the other group.

  • @mario102395 ; Lexus belongs in the crocks zone, its dull a bit like its owners.

Old and bald. Want a luxury car get a Merc.

  • fso polonez?

  • Audi RS2 Avant is a good one

  • merc 190e cosworth

  • ariel atom?

    future classic!

  • I like the 76' golf gti

  • Jeremy buys, you sell. Jeremy sells, You buy. PERFECT CONSUMER ADVICE!

  • @modtbod I was thinking about the same

  • (Contiued) If Chrysler made Toyotas engines you wouldn't see PTs in the ditch and leacking oil at all times. Toyotas engines are known for going well over 300k without problems and has had a Camry from 92 going over 1 million. Toyota has a 4 cyl (2ZZ-GE) making 240hp with a supercharger (they put that in Lotus's). A V6 that stock (2GR-FSE) makes 311hp. And a V8 (3UR-FE) with super charger making 504hp adn 550lb of touque. Lets see Chrysler do that.

  • @oopssorryy 5: PT's have Mitsubishi engines. How's that Japanese reliability for you? 6: Why is it necessary to use code to identify engines? 7: The original 1968 426 Hemi was rated for 425hp as a cheat to get it into Nascar. It got thrown out because its actual figures were discovered to be closer to 670hp. No turbos, no nitrous. You won't see them do that now, though, insurance would be too high, and nobody would buy one as a result.

  • @ThePatUltra The only way yo can kill Toyotas and Hondas are if you treat them like dirt. If yo keep up on the engine (oil change, sparks, and wires) those engines will last forever. Why do you think you see so many 1980s and 90s Toyotas and Hondas on the road today. 80% of these cars are still on the road in working order. And none of te big three could make a four banger with more than 100hp until the mid 90s, toyota had them since the 80s.

  • @oopssorryy You said, and I quote from above, "ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL" Your exception now means you were either lying then, or lying now. Oh, and you currently post, quote "none of te big three could make a four banger with more than 100hp until the mid 90s, toyota had them since the 80s." Sure about that? In 1985 Ford introduced the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. The 2.3 FOUR BANGER with 142 hp. 1987 it even received an inter-cooler, and made 190 hp. Oh, and it's spelled t-h-e....

  • @ThePatUltra And the only way you can kill a Toyota is if you don' take car o it. If you always skiping 1 and going right into 2 then that will be hrd on the tranny, and if you never change the oil or the sparks. You can drive it harder that any other engine as long as your not being retareded with i. All cars have their limits but Toyotas and Hondas limits are way bette than fords

  • @oopssorryy Oh, I almost forgot. GLH. In 1984 Carroll Shelby teamed up with Dodge to create the GLH. It was a 2.2 FOUR BANGER, and it made 110hp. Oh yeah, also, GM released the Quad 4 (LD2) in 1987, and it produced 160hp, with no turbos, no inter-cooler. But you're right. None of "te" big three could make a four banger with more than 100hp. Because 100hp is obviously greater than 160hp, just like -the- is spelled "te" and -kill- is spelled "kll".....

  • @ThePatUltra But you never hear of Fords base line cars carry this engine? I haven't. Ford isn't the best in the world any more, once you get passed the 70s America was surpassed by the rest of the world. They can't make a good powerful base line car that can handle and will lat you 200k. They just can't do it. I mean why does ford still use a soild axl on the Mustang? Leaf springs on the Vette, why are we using 60 tech on new sports cars? Becasue they can't do any better.

  • @oopssorryy Oh, yeah, one more thing, you want proof of the 2000hp I was talking about? Just ask John Force about his Ford powered dragster, or "Big Daddy" Don Garlits about his NHRA history. Oh, and those 1980's and 90's Toyos and Hondas you mention, they are disappearing. Check your local DMV to see what I mean. The illusion that there are more is because there were more built to begin with. The percentage is the same as pretty much everything else.

  • @ThePatUltra Bull, I see and know of more 80s model toyotas driving on the road, toyotas and hondas may look crap when they are that old but they run better than fords of that decade. I'm talking about engines that were once a street motor, drag cars are a diffrnet beast. And so what i miss a couple keys get over it. And if the big three could make a good four then were is it, what cars was it put in? Toyota was putting in a the 4a-ge in nearly all of its cars oncce they made it.

  • @oopssorryy Thank you. You made my day. I was hoping for a good laugh, and found it. Thank you. Ford uses a solid axle on the 'Stang because their customers ask for it, not because it is better. Leafs on the Vette is because GM is cheap, I'll give you that one. Skipping 1st is hard on the clutch, not the gearbox. The big 3 can do it, but they also offer the option of crapbox if you want it, and some people take that option, I don't know why, but they do.

  • @oopssorryy I was talking about street engines. The first dragsters were motor-on-a-stick, and used street engines. Read this excerpt from wikipedia regarding Keith Black- "The engines Keith Black produces are based on the Chrysler 426 Hemi, Chevy Big Block, and Oldsmobile Big Block designs, but cut from virgin aluminum and built to the customer's specifications." Oh, and read on, friends, it gets better.

  • @ThePatUltra If your skipping 1st then your probally also rev droping, so yes it can be hard on the tranny. Adn llok at how big your engines need to be to get power out of them. Big blocks? I know of 2.5 supras getting 1350hp. And those engines were from the factory not from a guy building engines from new metals.

  • @oopssorryy

Just a tip, your probably tired of this shit by now, but honestly, when will people realize that an engines physical displacement is just a small portion of how well it actually works under forced induction? It doesn't even mean that much for fuel economy, I know a guy who has a Corvette with a 750 horsepower supercharged 430ci V8 that gets 25mpg on the 10 mile work commute, and another who has a turbo Supra that gets 17. Cubic inches mean almost nothing!

  • @oopssorryy The 4a-ge is in nearly all Toyota cars huh? Really? It's in the Corolla, the Celica, and the? Oh yeah, that's it. Camry- S series, Paseo- E series, Echo/Yaris- N series engines. GM put Quad-4 2.4L Twin Cam in as opt in the Cavalier/Sunfire (most got the junky pushrod 2.2 though), std in the Malibu (most got v6), std in the Grand Ams (V6 was opt), std in the Cutlass Cieras, and the Alero until the EcoTec. It exists, they are out there, but is drowned in a sea of crap.

  • @oopssorryy I believe we have come to a stalemate here. The emotions are on your side, the facts, for the most part, are on my side. Just remember, the fact that I couldn't convince you, doesn't mean I'm wrong. Peace out!

  • @ThePatUltra Well see ya, good conversation, don't find many people that can hold their own. Remeber the same about me, have a good one.

  • "The only way yo can kill Toyotas and Hondas are if you treat them like dirt."

The electrical system goes on Toyotas. I've buried a couple of them.

    Hondas are notorious for overheating.

"And none of te big three could make a four banger with more than 100hp until the mid 90s"

The 2.0/2.3 L "Pinto" engine (Ford) (from 1972) produced well over 100 HP, and the Family II engine (Pontiac J2000 / Vauxhall Cavalier) (1981) produced even more.

  • @lkPractical90 They wouldn't have those problems if properlly taken care of. How many Pintos are still on the road? And the Cavalier is one of the worst cars ever built. You can't keep them running with out putting in enough money to by a new car

  • @oopssorryy Oh, by the way. NHRA use Big-Block Chevy engines and Raised-Deck Big Block Chrysler engines in drag racing to this day, some pull 2000+ horsepower. How many Toyo engines do you see that can pull 2000+ horsepower? Didn't think so. Oh, and if you really think Hondas and Toyos are impossible to kill, I invite you to please send me yours, I'll show you how to kill them, it's no different than killing anything else.

  • @ThePatUltra Toyotas nascar engine has a restricor on it at all times becasue its way more powerful than Ford, Chevy ect. And the reason these big blocks are making 2000hp (need to see proof) is becasue big blocks have been around for over 40 years. Thats 40 years of reaserch. There are 2jz engines making 1350hp. What engine does Chrysler make for Toyota? Whats the engine called? And Mitsu can't make and engine to save their life.

  • Beautiful Blondie =D

  • 2: know what true luxury cars are. I'm not a fan of European luxury brands (I prefer American) but those brands have the type of badges that make true luxury brands. History? Lot's of it. Heritage? Oh yeah. Motorsport? You bet. Innovation? Tons of it. Lexus has none of these things. They're so dull and pretentious to me. The European and American luxury brands didn't get to where they are by building poor cars. The Japanese just rebadged economy cars and call them Lexus, Acura and Infiniti. Yawn

  • 1: No Lexus will ever become a future classic. Lexus is so frigging soulless. Poseur luxury cars for people who think having a fully loaded car = luxury. Wrong. What really constitutes luxury is the badge. The badge stands for the history and heritage of a company and their achievements in motorsports, innovation, safety etc. Lexus could only be successful in the US where you had many loyal Toyota buyers switching over and because they were sold at dumping prices. Most Americans, sadly, don't...

  • Lexus sc300 coupe with a 5 speed manual? thats more of a classic than the ls400

  • @yeeona

A badge engineered Toyota Soarer? Give me a break. People overrated that crap car so much based on its design, which to me looked so generically Japanese. It had no style whatsoever. You want style? A Jaguar XJS Coupe of the same era was far more appealing, not to mention the Mercedes SL. How about a Maserati Shamal or Biturbo? Lexus design has and is downright awful and lacking. They look like Toyota's in terms of design, especially their SUVs (oh wait, REBADGED Toyota's...).

  • @jakemiller5000

All those cars fall apart and their owners pay $ to keep them runnin. NOBODY beats the Japanese in reliability. The 2jz is one of the best engines ever built. Of cars from that time with a 3L 6 cyl NA engine, how many had more than 225 hp? The NSX is maybe it. Also the 2jz is capable of handling up to 1000hp. The styling was ahead of its time, I own a 93 5spd SC300 and most of my friends thought it was from the late 90s/ earily 00s, and were shocked when I told them its a 93.

  • @yeeona

POST 1: The 2JZ is so overrated, like most Toyota products. Also, there were tons of racing cars in the 1930s and even 50's that had N/A 6-cylinder engines with over 225-hp making your Supra look like the pussy car that it is. Extracting 225-hp out of a 3.0 V6 in the 80s and 90s was not difficult at all. And if you think the 2JZ can handle 1,000-hp reliabily, guess again. Such high performance motors are HIGH MAINTENANCE. You can stuff that Toyota bullshit up your behind if you...

  • @yeeona

POST 2: seriously think that motor can be reliable with 1,000-hp on a daily basis. BULLSHIT. A myth. A complete myth that was advanced because of Toyota's reputation for reliability. And the Toyota Soarer was just DULL to me. No class, no elegance and the interior was incredibly cheap. If you look at its European competition, they had STYLE and great interiors. Like most Toyota products, the Soarer was overrated, overpriced and overhyped.

  • @jakemiller5000

#1: If you think getting that much power out of a 3L 6 cylinder was easy then name another car that came with one besides the NSX. And obviously it won't be reliable with 1000 hp but its stock internals are so strong it can handle that much power, very few engines can do that. 2jzs with 1000hp are only used for race use not daily driving. The engine in its stock state and even up to about 450 rwhp has proven to be one of the most reliable engines ever.

  • @yeeona

1: Very few engines outside of motorsport were built to handle 1,000-hp. SO WHAT? Also, the 2JZ will need a high level of maintenance to keep it running reliably. No matter how well the engine was built, 1,000-hp equals extreme wear and tear and of all components. People need to stop with the bullshit that this engine will be so reliable because it's made by Toyota. It's a fucking MYTH. Also, the SC from Lexus was a gussied up Toyota with a cheap plastic interior. It looked like -

  • @yeeona

2: a Corolla interior with extra fake wood. Lexus is also very overrated. Always has been. When it comes to overall balance, interior space, trunk space and especially payload capacity (except their SUVs sans that hybrid junk), Lexus falls flat on their snout. Lexus make poor family cars and Lexus is a company that takes zero chances with their lineup. People had to wait years for a sporty coupe and what do we get? That hideous IS thingy. Hideous.

  • @jakemiller5000

#2 I think you are just sore that the japanese were able to produce an engineering marvel. You sound ignorant when you say european cars of the time had better interiors. My lexus interior still looks great, the sound system is still top notch, and road noise is still very minimal after 17 years. I have seen 90s 3 series, the leather gets worn, they're rattles and its nosiy since the seals are gone. Also those cars look way older, the styling of the SC was way ahead of its time.

  • @yeeona Um Dude... lets settle this. EDM & JDM cars are BETTER than USDM cars.

and stop being a ricer dude x.x your giving us JDM Drivers a Bad Name.

  • @yeeona Rice engines are the only ones capable of small engine/big power? Really?

    1993 Jag XJ220- 3.5L 6cyl, 542hp, British

    1985 Ferrari 288 GTO- 2.8L V8, 400hp, Italian

    1992 Dodge Spirit Turbo 3- 2.2L 4cyl, 225hp, American/British (lotus engine)

    1986 BMW M3- 2.3L, 4cyl, 192hp, German

    2002 Renault Avantime- 3.0L V6, 210hp, French

So the Japanese are the only ones that can achieve engineering marvels then huh? I'll tell you a secret about Toyota-

Chrysler builds their large engines.. (cont.)

  • @ThePatUltra (continued) The 1.8L found in the Jeep Compass is a Toyo engine, as is the 4.7L found in the 2000-2007 Dakotas, however, the 5.7L found in the new Tundras is a modified Hemi engine. Toyota wasn't allowed to use the cylinder heads, but Toyo heads were fitted and small changes were made to make the engine fit. Gee, I don't see any engineering marvels there. Oh yeah, how's that drive-by-wire working out for ya? Oh yeah, you're car doesn't have it either, ya, it's got a cable instead-

  • @ThePatUltra post #3: By the way, the Jeep uses the same parts for its drive-by-wire, yet, they didn't have any failures of that sort, hmmm, wonder why? Oh! I know! It's because Jeep was smart enough to make the computer ignore the gas pedal if the brake pedal was mashed, and Toyota didn't do that! That's why! Gee, that sounds like an engineering marvel for Toyota doesn't it? Let's see, Ford invented the fuel cut switch, Packard gave us padded interiors and the swivel headlight. Not Japan.

  • @ThePatUltra post #4: GM was forced into giving us safety belts, and John Hetrick, an American, invented the airbag in 1952, and first equipped it into a Buick. The Triumph/Dolomite Sprint was the first production car with a 16 valve four cylinder. The first production car to have fuel injection was the 1957 AMC Rebel, alongside the Benz 300SL, and later that year, the Corvette. Hmmm, no japanese in there mate. Sorry. I'm sure Toyo enjoys having you as an entry in their company balance sheet...

  • @ThePatUltra Okay the only car on that list that would work would be the m3. the first 3 use FI, and u have got to be kidding me with the Avantime. 3L V6 with 210hp? the toyota NA 2jz, found in the supra, sc300, gs300, and Is300, is a 3L 6cyl with 225hp and they have been making that engine since 92. I kno it must hurt for you to realize that the 2jz, a toyota engine, is one of the best engines ever made. Not to mention it will run til the world ends without problems because its so damn reliable

  • @yeeona Then you do agree with me that the Japanese aren't the only ones capable of engineering marvels then. By the way, yes, the Avantime is 210hp, just barely. But you talk like a difference of 15 horsepower over a 200 hp spread (7%) is such a big deal when it isn't. Like I said in my final posting, I'm sure that Toyota enjoys having you as an entry in their company's balance sheet, they can do whatever they want and get away with it because they have so many people convinced, like you.

  • @ThePatUltra Like he said the motor has been made since 92, and how heavy is the Avantime? Japan has given use some of the best cars in te world and the most reliable. It's almost imposible to kll a Honda or Toyota even when your being hard on them. The only reason GM made all these safety features is becasue they were breaking down. And a secret for you, Toyota engines are nothing like Chrysler, Toyota is making engines for them, they did the same with the Pontica Vibe and Lotus.

  • @oopssorryy 1: Like I said, 210hp, I never said it was fast. 2: Chrysler does make one Toyo engine. Toyo makes 3 for Chrysler. I never said the cross-breed was any good in either direction. 3: Reliability does not always equal engineering prowess. Reliability means the designers weren't willing to experiment, it means copying something that is known to work. 4: GM did not make the safety features, the inventor happened to own a Buick, and outfitted it.

  • We had this wall 5 minute and you ruined it XD I love this one :D

  • I wonder how much money Jeremy lost on his Escort Cozzie. Their price is pretty high right now. Not that I'd ever want a loser rally car.

    j/k

I don't consider my two Deltas to be an investment. I can't imagine ever selling them, even though some consider them to already be classics. They're just my twin boys. Forever.

  • the F355 is definitely a classic... Beautiful car.

  • Pretty much any Alfa Romeo made that survives will become at least a moderately desirable classic. BMW Z3 will be, along with most/all German coupes and convertibles. Fiat Coupe will be. RX7's. I also agree with the chap that thinks the Monaro will be. Porsche 968. Renault Alpine. Toyota Supra. All Lotus. All TVR. Mitsubishi GTO and FTO. Heaps of desirables, but finding good examples is not so easy, and few will be attractive as restoration projects.

  • @frumzion Renault Alpine - very underrated. Very rare too?

  • @zenzombie72 : @zenzombie72 : The Renault Alpine GTA is quite rare but usually quite affordable when they come up. Don't think I've ever personally seen an Alpine A610, so I assume very rare and would expect to be pricey. The non-catalyst GTA turbo would be the one to get, as the standard non-catalyst is very underpowered by today's standards. Very nice cars, especially for those like me who don't like to drive what everyone else is driving.

  • @frumzion I remember seeing the stats for the A610 and being very impressed, but was unable to find out much about it. Oh the days before the internet. Thanks for info.

  • I think the 90's Maseratis will become classics, as will the XJ40 Jags. The last of the classic Jags will become classics, but the 90's V8's will not be major classics because of mechanical issues. Rover 75's will be minor classics but fail to become major classics due to poor engines. 80's MG saloons will move from cult to classic status. Honda NSX is a classic. Nissan Skyline GT is a likely classic as are some of the Subarus. The MR2's are/will be classics. MGF's as bad as they are will be.

  • Lexus nor the Merc will become classics. The XM has one obstacle in reaching classic status and that is complicated electronics, combined with its rarity. Will be hard to keep working & restore. I think the more electronics, the more likely to end on the scrap heap. The new Jags, for instance, will be too costly for used buyers to keep working... How long do you reckon a touch screen will last? And how much do you reckon it will cost to replace? What about when the gear dial fails to rise? Etc.

  • Nissan's 350Z will be a future classic as will its successor the 370Z.

  • @frumzion yes yes yes, the 350Z IS already a classic... that car will NEVER get old.

  • Rover tomcats will move from cult to classic status, if the turbos haven't already.

  • Rover 800's are fetching way more than book value right now. The coupés are rare, good looking, standing the test of time when well looked after, and surely destined for classic status in the not too distant future. The Honda V6's are reliable, reasonable to drive, and have reasonable performance even against many current offerings. The Vitesse turbos have vastly improved ride, handling, cornering, and still quite quick. Vastly underrated, right now, but watch out. 92-93 interiors are the best.

  • We actually had a Citroen XM. Fantastic car, though it did broke down sometimes, but still, it was so comfortable... And the suspension was just amazing. But my father sold it, my mother and I still hate him for doing that, and we demand that the next car we're gonna buy is a xm in a good state.

  • I like the blonde gurl

  • I think the Holden Monaro of Australia will be a future classic

  • "Yeeess future classic *STICK*

  • Jeremy BUY you SELL, Jeremy SELL you BUY ! HAHAA

  • the ls400

  • i love topgear. but however ive always found jeremy's tendency to buy a car not even keep it for a year, and sell it again.

he bought his dream car the FORD GT. probebly one of the most beautiful cars in the world. he waited two years for it and he sold whithin a year becoz it always gave him problems.. but thats wad a super car does isnt it?

then he sold the ford and bought a lamborghini gallardo spyder.. and now hes sold it as well..

but anyway i still love topgear.

  • the reson he does that is because he dds them he selles them whithin a year is to keep the resale of them higher

side note the ford gt may be a "super" car but its still a pos ford

  • no a super car should not think it's beeing stolen 10 times a day. you can live with breakdowns due to the high power, but a software failure in the security system just isn't cool. It's cool enough to say that your car's engine blew up in a big fireball, but that the alarm goes crazy and think it's getting stolen is a pretty uncool breakdown.

  • funny thing, he sold his Lambo Spyder....and guess what happened.

  • Seanbbn,That's Really Not Funny. I Guess You Wouldnt Be a Very Good Comedian.

  • I've always found Jeremy's tendency to sell these fantastic cars hes owned to be a bit stupid, he sold his F355, his Ford GT, his Cosworth, and all the rest. The man makes enough money that it doesn't matter anymore but instead of just building a bigger garage he gets rid of the cars. Maybe I'm not the best judge though, I only ever sold one car, my 1967 Pontiac GTO, and instantly regretted it as the bastard I sold it to rolled it into the ditch three days after I let it go.

  • you are right @81broncoman,

it is stupid to sell these cars, but don't forget: insurance, maintenance, garage rent, plus not everyone is living in a city where rents are really cheap and easy to find.

but even 2000 is not a sane reason to sell any car of those lol

  • @81broncoman lol im sorry but that sucks

  • @81broncoman I feel your pain - I sold my 1978 Porsche 911 to my cousin who PROMISED me he would give it a good home and take as good care of it as I did. He had the car about a month when it was stolen from a parking garage. The car was never recovered.

  • @81broncoman His Cosworth was actually given away in a Top Gear competition. It was a former Ford press car, complete with 'FMC' reg plate

  • @81broncoman

I agree, Jay Leno style! :D

  • @81broncoman It is a scientifically provable fact that people (rightly) go to hell when they die for getting rid of a 67 GTO.

  • He didn't sell the GT

  • @Tankgirl285 He did.. he mentioned in 1 of his books n on a Top gear ep that his gonna sell his GT40 to make way for the Gallardo Spyder he liked n he did sold it back to Ford for a full refund cuz he said its the most unreliable car he ever owned n driven but he sold his Gallardo too later to make way for another XC90 for the 3rd time he have owned it

  • @81broncoman What's the point of keeping a dozen cars? can you really enjoy all of them? is it worth the cost to insure all of them? and if you don't insure them, is it worth having them sit in your garage? I'd rather sell a car I don't drive and let someone else enjoy and care for it.

  • @ChienesSaventPas

If you sell a car you love to somebody, within a year or two you wont recognize it. Even if it isn't wadded into a ball like my GTO was, it will be neglected, unmaintained, covered in dents and bird shit. Then one day you see it again as it has begun to rot away, back seat full of empty coffee cups and wrappers, and it asks you "Why did you sell me to die in this way, beaten and starved by this fool? Did you need the money that badly?" and the answer for me is no, i didn't.

  • @81broncoman SO GAY!!!

  • @pistolpeeroy

I can guarantee you my car does more for me than you will ever get any woman to do for you. Have fun smokin your hash while your country self-destructs.

  • @81broncoman my arse dipshit

  • why if jeremy buys it you sell it? if he buys it you buy it wait a year and sell it isnt that better?

  • no because a year after he sells it is when it goes up

  • no whole point is jeremy buys u make money .. jeremy sells it for cheap n u make more money after a year wen it becomes classic :)

  • Close to or gonne be classics I like.... -Audi RS6 ( old and new ones both) -Mercedes 560 SEC ( best well made ) -BMW 850 ( very rare ) -Mazda RX7 -nissan 300zx twin turbo -toyota supra ( hard to find original one) -Hummer H1 ( time to BUY ) -Dodge Viper ( first generation ) -Ford Escord Cosworth ( imposs. to find) -Lancia Delta Integralli (imposs. to find) -Nissan Skylines ( hard to fix if any prob. ) -Ferrari Maranello ( time to BUY ) -Lamborgini Diablo SL ( time to BUY )
  • 850

    i agree

  • No, it should be Audi RS6 Avant or RS4 Avant.

  • Avant would be even better classic Yes I agree..

  • no to skyline, and gay ass dodge viper otherwise good work

  • he's talking about cars, not "people carriers"

  • @E60BMWM5 HUMMER?! SERIOUSLY?!?! wow....just, WOW. and "time to buy"...I don't think so as these cars are rapidly devaluing cuz their shit!

  • @moritzrr I think first hummer H1 is the good deal because it is rare and capable of tough offroading not the plastic H2. Where can you find a real war vehicle on sale for around $20k ?

  • @E60BMWM5 Probably the Land Rover Defender, which is a more suitable car for the UK than a Hummer. You can get the army surplus versions for aqbout £5k, and Landies are always classic.

  • @E60BMWM5

BMW 850 - one guy, two streets far from me, has it, and it's just staying there for years. it's probably broken, but it would be worth it to fix it. i feel sorry for it every time i pass by it.

  • When it comes to the Lexus LS400, James is completely right ,and Richard is completely wrong!!! That happens to be almost the exact same kind of car that I drive ,and I love it! In fact, you should see the way I decorated it.

  • "Jeremy buys, you sell it, he sell, you buy!!"

    lmao!!

  • poor jeremy

  • nope it was jeremy

  • lol @ Jeremy 'Oh for gods sake!' at 1:00

  • i gues he wanted to go home comfortalby and that nobody would know... but still fast enaught...

  • If anyone wants to watch all Top Gear episodes free online from seasons 1-13 just message me I'll send you the link

    Thanks!

  • i'm sorry my comment made you so angry ...beacouse i think the same thing about bmw and especially audi! merc is great car, but not my taste...anyways lexus still owns...and let's not talk about overpriced cars 'couse germans have lost sense for that long time ago...

  • lexus is classic wether anybody likes it or not...

  • that is a load, a lexus is just a rebadged toyota which the japanese have everyone fooled into thinking is "luxurious" and "beautiful" when really it's just like a BMW, people buy it no matter what model or trim level because they think that it will make them look rich when they've really bought 40k worth of shit.

  • and BMW is not shit it is in fact a remarkable company that produces some of the worlds finest automobiles. audi copys them, mercedes is ridiculously over-priced and very unreliable, and lexus is a toyota with a big price tag

  • Of course you'll say that you're the bimmer freak. I like BMW don't get me wrong, i'm a staunch defender of all things from my hometown München. But MB slants more to the luxury market and BMW slants more to the performance market. Mercedes are unreliable? I drove a Mercedes all through university and my brother is still driving it fine with almost 300k miles on it. Don't be a fanboy, be mature and grade cars properly.

  • ok fine i agree i was rating it a bit unfair my dad has a 1992 e300 and it has 372,000 but un fortunately it hasnt passed smog so we couldnt keep it but anyways... my grandfather has an c320 and it only has 60,000 miles but we have had so many problems u wouldnt believe but my moms bmw 530i hasnt had a problem yet in its 3 years with us

  • sounds like u got unlucky with ur C320 i had a 97 E280 it drove great for 3 years up untill last year, i took it to a different garage and they fuked it up, now my once very good E280 is now on my drive jammed in D>3 because the little shit who owns the garage took it for a thrash session but forgot to fill it up with tranny and and engine oil/fluids. i have won 12k in court with the garage and im rebuilding her. shed now covered 328k (miles). he was changing the tranny and engine oil/fluids.

  • When it comes to reliability buying any modern German car is like rolling the dice. It might be perfect, it might be a nightmare. There is only one way to find out. But they drive/look/feel the best and in most cases (read: Mercedes, Audi and VW) they are the safest.

  • well rememerb that teh mercs of the old where reliable and some old benzes hold world records for miles on them

  • I have 2001 E-class that used to be a taxi. It has run over 540000 km, ans are in great shape.

  • agree completely

  • to bad this didn't catch on

  • Jeremy buys you sell Jeremy sells you buy! looooooooooooool

  • ford escort cosworth!!!!!!! the rally 1

  • how about the nissan r32, r33 and r34? :)

  • not good enough to be a classic, too modern

  • no way the R32 is probably the most famous Skyline in the series, its such a good series the best one should be a classic.
