If you check out Konjaks website where you can play this for free he mentions how he was inspired to make this after playing Cave Story, so it's not surprising that it plays similar.

Unfinished games have a unique enjoyment quality of their own, so to speak. With all the bugs and what not, you get to see the process and thought that went, or might have gone, into creating the game. If gameplay mechanics are passable, and story bits make at least some sense, I say it's FUN.

honestly all the story he fit in in only about 25 minutes of game play and all the interesting characters makes this probably my favorite konjak game

i'd kill to see him finish it just for the story

well I can see why he didnt finish it..i mean it's an awesome game but it's really smiliar to cave story - a freeware game. So as long as he wouldn't make it better than cave story there would be no reason for people to buy it really. And yeah..for a game to be better than cave story you gotta put soo much effort into it..and that just for the praise? I wouldnt wanna do that either :P [/mega long comment over]

Konjak ended up making Chalk instead of this game right? I played a bit of Chalk and it was a pretty unique game, though I'd say this does look more interesting and engaging (Though less unique in some ways).

yeah chalk is pretty good but it's no reason for him to completely abandon this game, i just wish he'd pick it back up again
