that's silly. while yes indeed many groups can (and by golly do!) 'interpret' scripture in they're own way. the jewish nation (which is the interpretation of rabbi singer) did receive the torah at sinai. everyone agrees to that. it a historical fact. akin to the exsistence of abraham lincolin. is anyone(normal) going to debate that! even more the entire nation was there to receive it.
He says "we all use the scriptures", however in Judaism, the Torah is the measuring rod of truth. Xians do not view scripture this way. For them, the Greek texts are the measuring rod of truth. This is why many religions can say they "use Hebrew scripture" but none of these groups resemble the original path of the group Hashem gave it to. As far as his theory goes, many groups can interpret scripture in many different ways. No thanks.
One thing we can all agree on - whether Christian or Jew, we should all be in deep gratitude to the Jews, for the service of providing the scriptures to all of us - God's children. Many of them did this at a great sacrifice. And whether or not they believe Jesus is the Messiah, they are his covenant people.
I am bewildered that the devoted Lubavitch Jews would regard a little known Rebbe as the Moshiach, yet disown the Jew Yeshua who had an impact on world history far more than the total Jewish people combined, sufficient to change the calender. What was the whole point of the whole Temple sacrificial system if it didn't culminate in the perfect servant sacrifice, Messiah Ben Joseph. And what event would justify the subsequent destruction of the Temple and an incredible 2000 year exile? Reflect!
@MR1EAR. that is false. the new testament was written by various people. this is a historical fact.
