  • so the vegetables and fruits at a commercial store is not really organic? like costco and target? so your saying to go to like farmers market and get fruits/veggies there

  • My husband and I did raw food for 1 week and then vegan for 3 weeks about 2 months ago and we felt like we were high school kids again! It was for detox purposes. Afterwards we totally binged. Even though I only gained 6lbs out of the 16lbs that I lost, I felt like hell and so did he. We are now doing it again, but this time we are going to do your challenge. I'm sure we'll feel great afterwards. BTW you look great!

  • You're just adorable and your message is solid gold, and I have a request. Any chance you could package it for a bright, handsome, not overweight 16 year old who thinks he's too young, too healthy and too uninterested in any suggestions I make to him about including more raw foods in his diet. He does take sushi to school for lunches now (having broken his addiction to pot noodles) but he does eat WAY too much processed food. How about something geared for teens, please. Keep preaching raw!

  • I lost 40 lbs last year principally eating raw and exercising. I thought this was the easiest thing that I have ever done. I am not overweight however I do eat mostly raw right now. I still prefer raw. Anyway you are a great sounding-board and advocate for eating with purpose and with self-accountability. Keep up the great work.

    im a stress eater and its hard for me to eat raw at work. do you know any good raw foods that can be eaten on the go?

  • Green smoothies! Raw flax crackers, Raw macaroons , NUTS! Lara bars ...a few of my faves!

  • I eat like crap. but every now and then I suddenly lose ym appetite all together and I force yogart and special K and bananas down my throat and I real so good after doing this for a few weeks. When I try to eat taco bell after eating stuff that doesn't make me feel bloated and feel like crap, it makes me sick. My body got used to eating things that are better for my body and I felt alot better.

  • it takes 2-3 days for meat to be fully digested by the body. it actually has to rot before your body can digest it.

  • Thanks for the raw food challenge and sorry for the late response! I was aiming for raw breakfast and lunch only, and it went well, but not near perfect. Mostly I gained from seeing where and why I strayed from the goal. I was interested to realize that I wouldn't want to eat 100% raw yet, because some veggies I just like and appreciate cooked, ie squash, parsnips etc, especially in the winter. Maybe next summer when the fresh and local produce is available again, I will attempt 100% raw.

  • i failed... because i felt awful! It felt like another diet to me and with a diet i allways crave these rare foods and i and up gaining weight. I want to eat more fruit but i don't think i can go 100%. i'm so sorry! i do think you are doing great!! i learn a lot from you!x

  • If your eating MORE raw foods then you did before than you did very well! It is NOT a diet but it takes a long time to understand and master it!

  • Wanta here something funny got my VITAMIX 3hp today so I thought id do the right thing and clean the bowl first so i half filled it with water and vinegar didnt look properly it was on HIGH wasnt it it blew the lid of water went every where Im glad it wasnt almond milk or the like LOL Poor Jesse(7) at home with chicken pox nearly had a heart attack was soo funny xxxxxxxx

  • I was totally on track. I got really sick with a flu and craved warm foods but I only committed to 75% raw and I am pretty sure I maintained 75% through out the whole 30 days. I loved it and I see no reason to stop except that I was loosing weight. Not a ton but like 5-7 pounds.

  • Just eat as many fruits and veggies a day that you can and your doing better than most!

  • So anyway, the only non-raw things I ate for the whole 30 days was bread and vegetable soup. thats not too bad, is it? lol :)

  • My birthday was today, and there was nothing to eat but fatty ew foods and salad. so I ate the salad, while every1 else ate the pizza, chocolate, hamburgers etc. and I diddn't even want the food.. it almost repulsed me becasue I know whats in it and what it can do to your body if you eat it.

  • Thinking about it, i'm accually VERY proud of myself. I have been vegan now for 2 months, with no intentional slip-ups. I hate dairy and meat.. ew.. but the reason I first became vegan was/is for the animals, but now i'm also seeing the great health benefits.

    well, I would say that I was about 80% raw through the 30 days, but became a bit more relaxed about my diet during the end, which was a mistake. Its my birthday today, so I have made a vow to myself that for the next year I WILL be 100% raw vegan. and I WILL do at least 1 hour of exercise a day.

  • I didn't really go high raw but I did really add in a lot of raw fruits and veggies nuts and seeds and although I don't feel better physically yet I do feel more something, not sure what but it is good. Thank you for the challenge.

  • Depending on how long you have been sick it ..may take a awhile in the long run you will feel better. I don't feel like jumping around myself at this point but I do feel better and like you said I can feel it some how.

  • The vitamix wasnt the problem getting, they just cost heaps more here in Oz I cant send away to America either cause you have a different power system to us they would blow up LOL I wanted to get the 3hp cause I have heaps of kids so I need something heavy duty.   • i want to do the challenge but i feel i am not ready yet. i never ate fruit or vegetables regularly. but everyday now i am eating one fruit and one veg. its not much but it was a challenge for me, lol! its been almost a month so i think starting next week i will eat 2 veg and 2 fruit daily. :) should be fun!

  • My raw Report: I completed the challenge right up to the 30 days. Although 1 week of it...was horrible due to working double shifts..grr. I am IN LOVE with my morning spinach-fruit shakes and will continue to do that for breakfast. I LOVE the new salads that I've been making with cranberries, raisins, sesame seeds, flax seeds and veggies. I now make my OWN fresh raw dressing and no longer buy store bought dressings...

  • I incorporate fresh fruit and I still buy papayas, pineapple, mangos and not just apples and oranges. Fruit is my sncak fo choice. Although I will not continue 100% raw, I will make sure to add raw food to my life...daily ;) I'm going back on weight watchers as of Nov 1st, but will make sure to keep the raw stuff in ;) Thanks for all your videos girl..I'm glad I did the challenge. It was an eye opener for sure and I'm well on my way to a healthier ...me ;)

  • I did pretty good. However, I slipped up twice and eat some meat. :( But I have been really trying to stay vegetarian, I really have been trying. I have been eating lots of fruits and vegetables in my diet, but like I said, unfortunately, I did give in to eating meat a couple of times sadly.   • Eating some meat is not that bad. As long as you eat more fruits & veggies is the most important thing! Good for you!

  • I added more raw food to my diet. It made a big difference. I could feel the difference from the very beginning. Even though I withdrew from the official challenge, I'll always keep a high amount of raw food in my diet. The difference was really astounding: feeling better, better moods, higher energy, etc... Thanks for the challenge!
