great song.its I heard my bed springs a poppin and thaught I heard my baby cryin.thanks for all the great music.hope you will pay tribute to the original daddy stovepipe from alabama.tuxedo blues its called love to hear you play it.
Criminetlies! You are selecting the strangest, most already-odd blues pieces (and this is one, for sure) and then skewering them on strangled tiny instruments with impeccable finger picking while wearing REALLY WEIRD HATS. I hope the Belgian Library of Congress records you! (If they have one.)
That was an amazing version of the song. I really like how you managed to keep some of the original songs licks and ideas in your arrangement, while being also very original, and turning the song into a minor key (the ending chord excluded, of course).
Living in the tropics I must say that it is hard to feel the blues living in a place where mango trees grow wild. I like all your stuff, however, and these numbers you perform using a uke or mandolin, in particular, interest me.

Just saw the Mya-Moe both at the nyc uke fest yesterday, what a jewel of a uke you have there, you're performance is equally as dazzling!!

I always wonder if playing blues is possible on an ukulele, but you make a most certain statement with this vid: it definitely is!

So smooth and atmospheric, the minor key adds such implied sadness. Your technical ability adds even more tonal colour. 5 Stars!! (Again!)
Many thanxs

Nice one Carl!
I've noticed you checking out some uke clips & wondered what you had in the pipeline... As ever you've come up with the goods!
So, how long have you had that uke? It sounds really sweet!
I also have a tenor uke, just a cheap one though, I'm enjoying it a lot... if I could play it half as good as you I'd be very happy.
Very tastefully shot video by the way, and a cool hat of course!
All the best,
Chris.
