@DUSTINJOLLEY123123 Buckethead is good for analysis because every part of his presence is a piece of art that can be analyzed. His music is so diverse that it is able to express an ambiguous personality in its entirety.
Don't try to unmask him or ask him to unmask himself! If you do, you aren't a true fan. He's been doing this for so many years, and is one of the best guitar players ever(in my opinion) and if he wants to unmask himself when he's done, let him. But there's a reason he wears a mask, don't ruin it.

Honestly, I don't understand how anybody could dislike this. I know people who listen strictly to dubstep, country, rap, and R&B, and they all love this song. It just has that beautiful sound to it that not many musicians nowadays can grasp.

I've been listening to Buckethead's songs for the last 4 years and counting and I tell you without him, I may have gone completely insane with all the problems I am facing in my life right now. Listening to his songs is a complete escapade from the harsh reality of my life.

@KingKook That stuff you mentioned barely has any similarity to what Buckethead does, and more importantly, it's from different eras. I respect your opinion though, and I think there's some truth to your criticism, especially the part about repetition and effects, but that's mainly because the guy records everytime he grabs a guitar. However, I could easily compile 7 albums worth of songs that are unique and superb, but that's because I enjoy his sound, I don't claim he's superior to anybody.
@Shuucky Louis Armstrong pretty much invented improvised leads. He created the extended solo that is spontaneously composed & did it masterfully, expertly, flawlessly. You have to go back & listen to other jazz of his time to appreciate how revolutionary he was. He influenced everyone who followed him including Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, SRV, Miles Davis, John Coltrane & 1000s of others. Chicken Butt Face is exploiting these artists' developments but with his own minor differences...

@KingKook Well, you're kind of the only one to consider them virtuosos. They were all fabulous and godly song writers. But they all lacked the technical ability of a virtuoso, the ability to play with speed. The fact, not opinion, is that they are not generally considered virtuosos by fact like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Buckethead, etc. It looks like you in the same boat at me supposedly: "you confuse musical artist & virtuoso guitar player."

A Virtuoso is a master of the instrument, able to handily produce a very broad range of sophisticated sonic tones in order to illicit many distinct, profound emotional responses. Chicken Butt Face has a fairly limited & repetitious emotional range. Hendrix masterfully created an infinite rainbow of emotional colors, all through beautiful original music...
@KingKook Almost all that you just said is true. The thing is that there is more than one kind of guitar virtuoso. A musical theory virtuoso (Hendrix's music was simple btw, drugs make him sound better) and a virtuoso of playing ability (speed, strength, accuracy etc). Buckethead has better playing ability than Hendrix did, but maybe Hendrix was more emotionally versatile. Buckethead's modern sounding music just happens to move me more. Its okay to have opinions. @amjams ANYTHING by Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Louis Armstrong, & at least 150 other musical artists. This Chicken Butt Face has nice ideas but his playing is spastic & corny. He hits SO many bad notes, flat & off key. His digital loops are tedious & not creative. @KingKook That stuff you mentioned barely has any similarity to what Buckethead does, and more importantly, it's from different eras. I respect your opinion though, and I think there's some truth to your criticism, especially the part about repetition and effects, but that's mainly because the guy records everytime he grabs a guitar. However, I could easily compile 7 albums worth of songs that are unique and superb, but that's because I enjoy his sound, I don't claim he's superior to anybody.

@Shuucky Louis Armstrong pretty much invented improvised leads. He created the extended solo that is spontaneously composed & did it masterfully, expertly, flawlessly. You have to go back & listen to other jazz of his time to appreciate how revolutionary he was. He influenced everyone who followed him including Jimi Hendrix, Chet Atkins, Les Paul, SRV, Miles Davis, John Coltrane & 1000s of others. Chicken Butt Face is exploiting these artists' developments but with his own minor differences...

But his actual mastery of his instrument, his range & fluidity of styles, his ability to hit key notes at critical moments is sub master. @KingKook Well, you're kind of the only one to consider them virtuosos. They were all fabulous and godly song writers. But they all lacked the technical ability of a virtuoso, the ability to play with speed. The fact, not opinion, is that they are not generally considered virtuosos by fact like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Buckethead, etc. It looks like you in the same boat at me supposedly: "you confuse musical artist & virtuoso guitar player."

@CoreThrasherGLB As expected, you've got it backwards. Virtuoso doesn't refer to the speed at which someone plays, it's not some stupid race. A Virtuoso is a master of the instrument, able to handily produce a very broad range of sophisticated sonic tones in order to illicit many distinct, profound emotional responses. Chicken Butt Face has a fairly limited & repetitious emotional range. Hendrix masterfully created an infinite rainbow of emotional colors, all through beautiful original music...

@KingKook Almost all that you just said is true. The thing is that there is more than one kind of guitar virtuoso. A musical theory virtuoso (Hendrix's music was simple btw, drugs make him sound better) and a virtuoso of playing ability (speed, strength, accuracy etc). Buckethead has better playing ability than Hendrix did, but maybe Hendrix was more emotionally versatile. Buckethead's modern sounding music just happens to move me more. Its okay to have opinions. But it isn't okay to disrespect.

The blues was reworked old slave songs that were modified old African work songs & ritual chants.
