I recently brought this game along with Dead Island,Prototype & MGS4. Im about 1Hr. into the game so far,& it seems like you havent played the game at all,&judging from the scenes you used from other reviews,proves that theory.The Jetpack Controls are suppose to be clunky&hard to maneuver seeing how the main character is using the jetpack for the 1st time,so he hasnt quite mastered it yet.if youre in a jungle,then every few ft. is going to look like the last 10ft.you just traversed.

It's alright I suppose. The story is a complete mess, and the normal on-ground fighting is a bit boring. Flight combat is excellent though and really fun. I'd give it a 6/10 (this doesn't mean its bad - 6/10 means its above average. Most people seem to think average nowadays = 8/10)
I agree with Turtle but I dont know what is wrong with the controls,they are decent and fun and the 3D aspect that is only on the PC is awesome so that you console fanboys can suck on the PC's long cock.This shouldnt have the ground combat/3rd person shooting it should have been a flying game no 3rd person shooting just fly and shoot shit out of the sky and also add variety to those also.The graphics look well in the flying section and add to the overall experience.About the story,its very bad.

Gears of War ground combat and this one is different. I do agree when a game is bad they rip it apart 10x harder than a better game...but those games make you do that as you can't help but to hate it.....gears of war weapons the levels and the story are all driving points to keep you playing....also it is just a ground based game with no jumping so it gives developers an easier time making levels which is noticable and the combat quickens as you play it more but don't switch from an fps - gears

Good review, I played the demo on PC with mouse and keyboard and flying was basically spinning around disoriented trying to level out while getting shot by flying hubcaps you could barely see. After about 5 minutes of that I hit the uninstall button. It reminded me of the N64 Superman game. Well maybe not that bad but close.

It's actually a lot of fun, though I can think of a few things they should of added... the jet pack makes the TPS a lot more interesting if you use it for more than just air battles....don't just use the cover system, or you are ruining your experience.

I finished it today.The game is really good in concept.The story made NO SENSE AT ALL.One moment i am at my base,the next a Watcher comes in and incapitates me,i wake up in the alien base and they come and rescue me.WTF,how they got me out of the base without anyone seeing me.How my allies get into the base and saved me.Many MANY missing parts in storyline.Repeative as hell and max it had 5 weapons...
This wasn't a fair review. All he did was rant about most of it. The game is everything the creators promised. Sure it's not the best game ever (not to mention the recent jump in game quality), but his standards are too high. I bet an arcade game (which are normally far more repetitive) should get higher than a 5/10 rating. Dark Void deserves at least a 7.5. It seems almost like "turtle" has something against Capcom. Maybe bad experiences with Airtight, but that review was not fair in any way.

I have dark void. It's honestly not as bad as turtle makes it sound. Don't listen to what one person says about it. Try it for yourself, it's a pretty good game that actually requires a bit of skill. It wouldn't be fun if you could fly around like a pro without practice. And getting good at shooting something on the ground and being able to take it to the air is what makes the game.

This game had so much potential. Jetpacks, lasers, Bermuda Triangles!!! i was so physched for this game, but from what ive seen, capcom really missed a HUGE opprotunity for success.
I've never heard of this game and I don't know much about it, but even though this guy is sorta ranting, some have logic and facts that convinced me that the game sucks. Reviews are supposed to be unbaised. Just because you had a bad time playing the game, doesn't mean you should shit on it the entire time.
Also, just like in Darksiders, your overall impression of the game doesn't transition into the score you gave. You made this game seem like it shouldn't have been shipped to stores, yet you give it a score that goes above of what it seemed like you were going to give.
One of the biggest issues I have listening to this reviewer is that he makes all these remarks about the game, and then gives it a score it didn't seem to deserve.
5/10? After listening to him talk about it for 3 minutes, I would have thought he would have given it a 3. Even if the game didn't deserve to go that low, the way he presented his review had set it up to seem he would have given it, at the very least, less than a 5.
These guys are rating tough now. This game is better than most games I have seen. I guess machinima just can't reward creativity and new games very well. Mabey if they polished this a little then they could get a 10/10, seriously, quit expecting every game to be like another game.

This wasn't a fair review. All he did was rant about most of it. The game is everything the creators promised. Sure it's not the best game ever (not to mention the recent jump in game quality), but his standards are too high. I bet an arcade game (which are normally far more repetitive) should get higher than a 5/10 rating. Dark Void deserves at least a 7.5. It seems almost like "turtle" has something against Capcom. Maybe bad experiences with Airtight, but that review was not fair in any way.

I have dark void. It's honestly not as bad as turtle makes it sound. Don't listen to what one person says about it. Try it for yourself, it's a pretty good game that actually requires a bit of skill. It wouldn't be fun if you could fly around like a pro without practice. And getting good at shooting something on the ground and being able to take it to the air is what makes the game.

This game had so much potential. Jetpacks, lasers, Bermuda Triangles!!! i was so physched for this game, but from what ive seen, capcom really missed a HUGE opprotunity for success.

I've never heard of this game and I don't know much about it, but even though this guy is sorta ranting, some have logic and facts that convinced me that the game sucks. Some of this was just completely biased so I can't really say anything about it. Anyways, I think the point he was trying to make is that the game is just "meh". Nothing fun, Nothing interesting, a game that people are going to forget in a year.

In Half-Life 2 you are also dropped in a city and everyone just assumes you know what is going on.
I'm not surprised some parts seem rushed, as it most likely was. Maybe DV2 will fix these issues.

This was a poor review in my opinion. It sounds a little more like a rant someone would post on their video blog, so it seems a little over the top. But for the most part alot of the points he made sound true. I'll still buy it just to try it myself, but I think I'll wait untill the price has came down and get it cheaper than it currently is.

I think that what they meant that it was a 3D game, they meant to include lots of elevation.
like in mw2 every map is flat, this game seems to use the 'sky' much better.

Reviews are supposed to be unbaised. Just because you had a bad time playing the game, doesn't mean you should shit on it the entire time.
Also, just like in Darksiders, your overall impression of the game doesn't transition into the score you gave. You made this game seem like it shouldn't have been shipped to stores, yet you give it a score that goes above of what it seemed like you were going to give.

I can see where both of you are coming from.
One of the biggest issues I have listening to this reviewer is that he makes all these remarks about the game, and then gives it a score it didn't seem to deserve.
5/10? After listening to him talk about it for 3 minutes, I would have thought he would have given it a 3. Even if the game didn't deserve to go that low, the way he presented his review had set it up to seem he would have given it, at the very least, less than a 5.

These guys are rating tough now. This game is better than most games I have seen. I guess machinima just can't reward creativity and new games very well. Mabey if they polished this a little then they could get a 10/10, seriously, quit expecting every game to be like another game.
