I'm only 15 but I own some brands like Olivetti M24, Toshiba 3300CT, Barron Micro 486, Amiga 600HD (+ enchanced Fast RAM 8Mb), Sun Sparcstation 10, one intel 286 made from school junk and a lot of handmade ZX Spectrums =))))))))
this guy saying "kids these days don't remember TVs without remote controls" seems to be stuck 20 years in the past... I mean shit, I'm almost 30 and I don't remember TVs without remote controls. Kids today don't remember VHS or dial-up internet!
The only reason why I remember TV's without remotes is because, back then there were still TVs around that were either really old or still didn't come standard with a remote. Maybe that's what he meant. Otherwise, I am almost 30 too and I don't remember living in a time either when there were TVs with no remotes.
I went to the Science Museum's (London) behind the scenes tour and apart from a valve mainframe I'd used all of them. It was shocking that what I took for granted is now so precious you are not allowed to touch them without gloves. Scary!
This is important! People like Syd Bolton deserve respect. The next generation using todays technology can just come there and in a hands on manner see the foundation of other peoples hard work, and understand how all this tech. stuff can be made today!
I want to go!! Fully functional too.

These old computers were a total rip off. We should get a refund on all of them.

I used to have the Tandy Model 103. I remember expanding the memory with an additional 16k chip!
I could do just about anything with that computer. Even had a built in 300 baud modem...

This stuff is so fascinating! I wish I had been alive in the 80's but I wasn't. :(
But I love seeing how computer technology has progressed so quickly, now with the ability to do ANYTHING on the computer!
My favorite 'classic' computer was the Lisa. The whole gui thing is so cool. :D
