You're making a distinction WITHOUT a difference. Lucifer/Satan, according to Christian tradition is a fallen angel. The fact that he took other angels with him is irrelevant to his status. Thomas Aquinas alleges that Lucifer/Satan as a member of a group of angels of the "First Sphere" known as Cherubim. And what do you mean they, "do stuff like this". Do stuff like what? There's no reason to believe what you see here is anything like a literal or figurative hell.

I don't see why people cant show this to kids. I'm 15 I liked the movie a lot, It intrests me, especially this part. I also love the way they portrayed Satan. And I honestly think it's not a problem to let kids watch things like this, early education is fine, especially if its about a religious view... In my opinion at least.

After researching it...YES this movie was aimed at children and was even shown at many elementary schools back then...cable tv had to sensor this segment called "mysterious stranger" cuz it was deemed inappropriate...so there's the answer, yes it's for kids but this scene was removed from television editions

I recall watching this as a child in 1987-1988 and had a lousy attention span, but not to this. Disturbingly chilling , but very altruistic in its ideas. Folklores, fables, myths and nursery rhymes could be as disturbing as this for context alone. This is brilliant.
