when john was saying 'he couldnt do that to some1' he was meaning, he didnt want josie to think their situation was like shabby and keeva, he didnt want her to think that he was leading her on, cause he wasnt, as we ovo know now, he loves her he just didnt want anything to start in the house and at the time when this hapened josie kept saying to him 'i know u dont like me like that' so he was just wanting to find out what thought about him cuddling up to her. hope that kinda explains it.
