I use a combination of wood glue and a 2 part epoxy resin glue alternating around the rim. I did many many experiments on which adhesive works the best, and for me, this is it. I have a drum from 8 years ago and the adhesive still holds great. The clay in the video is an earthenware clay. I actually dig clay locally and use that in everything I make.
