I have owned two Chinese Bashin mopeds. One was 50cc. Another was 125cc. I currently own a Schwin Newport 150cc. My friends have owned gas-powered bicycles. I really do not believe the 100 mpg statistic. Even in my driving around town, I fill up the 1 gallon tank every two days. I think many of the moped statistics are inaccurate and self-serving. They are not an out for family men with suspended licenses or DUIs. Wear a helmet. But mopeds are practical and fun for safe intown driving.
