OH WELL!! THAT'S TYPICAL WHITE PEOPLE FOR YOU, HYPOCRITE, SELFISH, ARROGANT AND RUDE. SINCE JOHN MCCAIN THOUGHT HE'S THE GRAND SON OF AN ADMIRAL THAT A BLACK MAN CAN NOT TAKE HIS RIGHT FOR BEING PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. MY THING IS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS JOHN MCCAIN WANTED TO BE PRESIDENT THAT BAD, WHY HE DIDN'T RUN FOR IT BEFORE JIMMY CARTER? WHY HE DIDN'T RUN FOR IT BEFORE RONALD REAGAN? WHY HE DIDN'T RUN FOR IT BEFORE GEORGE BUSH SR? WHY HE DIDN'T RUN FOR IT BEFORE BILL CLINTON? FUCKER!
Yeah I know right? Now we elected an idiot who has no idea what he is talking about. Wanna call McCain rude? Take a look at Obama! He is extremely rude, and has given people the finger multiple times by "scratching his face" with the middle finger.
wow, you're calling a graduate Cum Laude from Harvard Law an idiot? What planet are you from? I would wager $1,000,000 you couldn't pass the BAR in Ala-fucking-bama. McCain finished almost dead last in a military institute, Obama finished #2 in the most prestigious law academy in the USA. Who's the fucking NOOB now? you got pwned, be sure to suck my asshole bitch. I don't want to waste toilet paper on it when I have mouths like yours to feed.
I don't care what school he graduated from. McCain finished almost dead last? Guess what? At least he was in the military and did something for this country! Just because he graduated from a law school doesn't mean he is smart, or has a brain just take a look at his presidency, putting us into more debt than Bush ever put us in! The Economy was holding steady at a low point before Obama took office, then it went even lower.
Mccain they should have beat your ass a little more when you was a pow. Maybe then you'll have respect for the next man. Now, "that one will be our next president"!
i love the look on obama's face after mccain drops abomination of a sentence. mccain is a feeble old man and soon after losing this election he's gonna die of old age
watch this, then check out the joker's 'kill the batman' speech from the dark knight. its probably here somewhere. then you'll realise why you get deja vu when you see mccain jerking around the stage.
i honor our soldiers that do what they are asked to do by serving our country but, bush declared war on iraq why? our soldiers are dying for the wrong cause think about thier families, lives are being lost on the wrong battle field in vain. President bush is not honorable, niether is he a great leader.
vote Mccain and the draft will be reinstated look how many lives lost invading the wrong country? they tell you it's a war to cover thier mistake, people are you really that dumb? it's not a war it's an invasion, that's why people don't like america now.the war should be on osama's turf going after him and his terrorist organization. how will obama surrender in iraq when it's not a war?how many more should die for the wrong cause, and foolish pride
I agree it is NOT a war it is an invasion and illegal occupation. We are not at war against any army, navy or air force. Killing people who are simply resisting American occupation and destroying their infrastructure is not a war and thier is nothing brave or heroic about it.
Then we ask why do people hate us. Perhaps it is because they know we are brain dead and intoxicated by patriotism.
vote Mccain and the draft we be re-instated look how many lives lost invading the wrong country? they tell you it's a war to cover thier mistake, people are you really that dumb? it's not a war it's an invasion, that's why people don't like america now. the war should be on osama's turf going after him and his terrorist organization. how will obama surrender in iraq when it's not a war? how many more should die for the wrong cause, and foolish pride
i don't find it racist but i do find it very disrespectful.
"that one"?!?! if thats what he calls obama, then what would he call us normal citizens? "the things that were stupid enough to elect me as president?"
If that's the way he's referring to a male, brilliant, Ivy league graduate and decorated lawyer and human being ... how will he act for me (a white 22 year old female who graduated from a state school and is struggling to find a job)? he's a bigot, a sexist and will not look twice at my generation until half of us have perished in the war and the other half are worthy of attention (the half who's parents are in congres or funding congress!)

And do you know who's NOT going to vote for the Shameless Smear Express?
Come one, there was nothing wrong with what he said other than being vaguely disrespectful. I hate McCain and am voting for Obama, but people reach to show something was racist. McCain might be racist, but this wasn't a racist comment.
Classic racist code language. He KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HE WAS DOING. Hes too afraid to say that nigger but that's what he meant. McCain is old school racist, a war monger who would have the black sweeping his porch while he reclined with a mint julip. Time we bribng down these fascist assholes. Time an ORIGINAL and SUPERIOR African runs the show. Peace.
so funny because in the senate they refer to each other as "the distinguished gentleman from Illinois or Arizona." Now he's "that one?" WTF? Well, in a few more days he will have to say Mr. President. period.
oh, please. So many of you americans seem to think that its just the worst of things that McCain called Obama that one. Don't bother with the issues (well Extreme719Ballin knows what its about), don't bother with the fact that worse has been said in this election and past ones. I think McCain will become even more pompous and to continue to avoid anything to do with substance on issues. As for Obama, he should try less to be relaxed and just relax.
You seem to think that the comment "That One", is nothing. It's not just the comment it is RESPECT! And why should OBAMA, try not to be calm, so YOU or any othe MCCAIN supporter, can have more on him. Maybe you should understand the why we AMERICANS, typically African Americans, which I am, are so pissed, This is a succesful BLACK MAN, and he deserves every bit of respect that he gives, in return. DO YOU UNDERSTAND, probably not, because I know a dumb ass comment will be posted soon. OBAMA 08!!
hahahaha i love you, mccain<3 sorry, but i think he made his point very clear. it gives another person power when you name them... if you refrain from saying a person's name it gives you more integrity. "that one" may not have been quite as appropriate as "that gentleman over there" but i think the psychology behind it is great.
go ahead, obama-lovers. hate me. I'm not saying anything bad against obama I'm just pointing out mccain's use of language in psychological terms
Do actions of refraining from addressing humans with equanimity (considering the intent behind it) equate to an uplifted and clear degree of integrity? Perhaps I've erroneously assumed that honor manifests on account of radiating inherent and natural virtuous qualities. In light of your discernment, it appears that many of the humans posting here in reaction to John McCain's lexis are mistaken in their views of honor; for they are clearly not engaging the nobility behind his sense of discourse.
well, 5 stars for eloquent language! no, srsly, you have excellent diction. anyway, integrity means a "perfect condition", in which all accounts of respect are spoken for. I don't think McCain was out of line in refraining from naming Obama. If he had outwardly insulted him, then, yes, by all means, he would have overstepped his boundaries. But, if Obama had said "that one" in his oh-so-charming way, I guarantee many less "humans" would have such a problem. but he wouldn't because he's Messiah
AMAZING how Obama's SARCASTICALLY called "racist", yet McCain rally's are rife with supporters who are invoking subtle racial epithets...
Notice how they constantly put emphasis on HUSSEIN, Baracks middle name.
ANY people of color, Black, Latino or Asian should be ashamed of themselves if they support McCain, because the same way they are trying to flame racial hatred towards Barack, they would do the exact same thing to someone of your race if they ran for President in America.
this may not be an act of racial discrimination, but it amazes me that a person with thousands of years of experience, like literally McCain, and an extensive professional career refers to any human being as simply "that one". Nonetheless in a presidential debate. i think this quite highlights senator mccain's desperation because he knows he is down according to national polls.
McCain is not mentally or physically fit to be president. I salute his military service and courage (you would have to be a total idiot not to!), but, again, he is unfit...and Palin is totally unfit to be VP (or, yikes, President)
By saying That One, McCain pretty much surrender any chance of winning the election. How can anyone white, black, yellow, or red can vote for someone so condescending. The only way he can win is by stealing the election which the Repukelicans are master of such great art.
Yeah their stealing it the way democrats are with acorn. Who is busing in homeless people to ohio and getting thier votes? Who has celebs on the campaign trail giving autographs for votes? I thought that was ilegal? Go ahead and don't let the truth get in your way. I'm voting for McCain directly becuase of people like you that incite fear, racism and hatred into everything. See you at the poles?
ok dude mccain is like always jabbing at Obama and he can barely look at him for more than two seconds.. he is messed up and very disrespectful it's not nobodies fault he gettin beat by a black man.and anyone that votes fo this loser has issues. im sorry. i would vote for Obama a thousand times if i could. Obama 08!!!!!!!!!
If McCain said "This one" when he referred to himself then I think it wouldn't have sounded as condescending as it did. But John is a maverick, he doesn't sugar coat his words for anyone.
is it just me or is J. McCaina riot! He looks so incoherent on stage that i LMFAO every time i watch this video clip. The Stark contrast of Past vs Future, Old vs Young, Obama is cool, calm, collected, young, and McCain looks old, grumpy, and senile.
at this point in the game does it really surprise anyone that the classless McNasty would refer to Obama as 'that one'? He calls audience members jerks, his wife a C&*nt, and talks down to people in the crowd (re:"you've probably never heard of fannie mae or freddie mac before"-what a pompous ass!). Why doesn't he just come out and say it (using his most convincing elitist voice when referring to the Middle Class)"You Pieces of Shit"
How sensitive can people possibly get... when you look at this in context, they're just mad because he fucking nailed it dead on that Obama is a closet Bush, in terms of his voting record. And yet no one else has picked up on that, because they're so concerned with the fact that Obama is black that any potential examination of his record is automatically construed as racism, as a defense mechanism for Obama and his image. Obama is the most hollow, image-based candidate in recent history.
There is no racist tone whatsoever. If it had been a white senator, McCain would've said the same thing. The only reason that there is alleged 'racism' is because Obama is black. Rather than arguing the fact of what was said, which is undeniable fact, you make emotional arguments by alleging racism instead of confronting the argument.
Even if 'that one' IS racist, so fucking what? We live in a biased, unfair world. Deal with reality.
To me, he's obviously talking about which senators voted for the bill, and he pointed at THAT senator. Yes, that one. What a stupid argument to play the "race card" mere weeks before the election! Look at Barack, he clearly had zero reaction to that statement, because he understands he's being referred to as a SENATOR.
McCain has sold his soul for power. "That one" is probably just what Biden says it is...McCain being uncomfortable in his nasty attack because he knows it's wrong. I'll take the Zen of Obama over the Fundagelicalism of McCain any day.
I'm black and I don't think it was racist. He just let the world see his insecurities and bitterness because he's losing. Not a slip of the tongue either. Jealous. He wouldn't shake his hand at the end.And did he acknowledge Michelle Obama? Who wants that attitude in the White House.
I don't think this was a racist comment by any means. However, it was HIGHLY unprofessional and degrading. Perhaps it was a slip of the tongue, or maybe he was just feeling heated. Who knows, but as a public figure slips like this need to be virtually nonexistant.
I guess you could say McCain is the past, but the past wasn't as bad as McCain. However, you can logically conclude that Obama is the future. There's no dispute over that!
I don't think he meant it to be racist... I think that is going to far, guys. However, you can tell he was getting pissed off. Both men have terrible tempers, I hear. :/
Mccain is a piece of shit.. How the hell do you refer to a Senator as "that One". He is clueless. I could imagine him calling a dignitary or a head of state "That One". No class at all. The people the vote for this Geezer are a bunch of douche bags..
at this point in the game does it really surprise anyone that the classless McNasty would refer to Obama as 'that one'? He calls audience members jerks, his wife a C&*nt, and talks down to people in the crowd (re:"you've probably never heard of fannie mae or freddie mac before"-what a pompous ass!). Why doesn't he just come out and say it (using his most convincing elitist voice when referring to the Middle Class)"You Pieces of Shit"
i dont think it was meant as racist acting behavior, i think he just simply forgot and slipped his tongue. therefor it is still really serious. cause you can hear his despise for obama when he says it and i think mccain has a dangerously ugly personality inside of him.
Maybe it wasn't "racist acting behavior", but can you really have someone as your president who "simply forgets" and has "slips of the tongue" when he talks to Foreign Diplomats? People in foreign countries already think that Americans think they are better than everyone else in the world. What would happen to our approval rating from people of the countries that actually like us? We don't need somebody who does know how to keep his own opinions in check in office!
I predict mccain will lose his temper in the last debate and call Obama the N-word......Mccain tried the honourable campaign 200, didnt get him anywhere. time to get dirty. i expect to hear about Obama being a terorist everyday from now on
What a total lack of class on McCain's part. I expected better from him. Considering his snide behavior towards Obama up to this point, I guess I should have seen this coming. I'll probably end up voting for "that one" just to spite McCain.

Hey people, McCain was making a joke. Why do you think he smiled and laughed when he said it. It was so funny too because McCain exposed Obama for what he really is. A dangerous fraud with radical ideas and policies. I say McCain won this debate hands down. The only thing that McCain should have said that he did not was Obama's associations with the terrorist Bill Ayers, racist Louis Farrakan, and anti-Americans Jermiah Wright and Michael Pflager. That would have won McCain the election.
OH WELL!! THAT'S TYPICAL WHITE PEOPLE FOR YOU, HYPOCRITE, SELFISH, ARROGANT AND RUDE.
Thanks but no thanks...
I'll stick with "That One" 08

I can't believe he made a big deal out of being called John in the first debate and thoguht this was ok.

I don't think it was a racist comment, but it was very disrespectful. He just seems like a bitter old man now.
muddrix 3 years ago 4
How sensitive can people possibly get... when you look at this in context, they're just mad because he fucking nailed it dead on that Obama is a closet Bush, in terms of his voting record. And yet no one else has picked up on that, because they're so concerned with the fact that Obama is black that any potential examination of his record is automatically construed as racism, as a defense mechanism for Obama and his image. Obama is the most hollow, image-based candidate in recent history.
LordAkaneon 3 years ago
It wasn't racist, but it had racist tones and was personally demeaning. McCain should be more careful with his choice of words...
timmyh3523 3 years ago 3
There is no racist tone whatsoever. If it had been a white senator, McCain would've said the same thing. The only reason that there is alleged 'racism' is because Obama is black. Rather than arguing the fact of what was said, which is undeniable fact, you make emotional arguments by alleging racism instead of confronting the argument.
Even if 'that one' IS racist, so fucking what? We live in a biased, unfair world. Deal with reality.
LordAkaneon 3 years ago 2
To me, he's obviously talking about which senators voted for the bill, and he pointed at THAT senator. Yes, that one. What a stupid argument to play the "race card" mere weeks before the election! Look at Barack, he clearly had zero reaction to that statement, because he understands he's being referred to as a SENATOR.

McCain has sold his soul for power. "That one" is probably just what Biden says it is...McCain being uncomfortable in his nasty attack because he knows it's wrong. I'll take the Zen of Obama over the Fundagelicalism of McCain any day.

McCain is not really a man. One of his parents was a woman- that makes him a hermaphrodite!
BritishStew 3 years ago
McCain is a bitter, angry old man. I think that he meant the statement to be dismissive. He's seething because he is losing.
Imagine him as President, not getting his way with a president or prime minister of another country.
What a temper this man has. Unstable. Erratic. That one/the other one 2008

i completely agree with rudielor. we cant have immaturity in the white house like mccain. VOTE OBAMA! Hawaii represent!
Kehaulani28 3 years ago
I'm black and I don't think it was racist. He just let the world see his insecurities and bitterness because he's losing. Not a slip of the tongue either. Jealous. He wouldn't shake his hand at the end.And did he acknowledge Michelle Obama? Who wants that attitude in the White House.
rudielor 3 years ago
I don't think this was a racist comment by any means. However, it was HIGHLY unprofessional and degrading. Perhaps it was a slip of the tongue, or maybe he was just feeling heated. Who knows, but as a public figure slips like this need to be virtually nonexistant.
Obama FTW!
Jax0029 3 years ago 3
I guess you could say McCain is the past, but the past wasn't as bad as McCain. However, you can logically conclude that Obama is the future. There's no dispute over that!

I don't think he meant it to be racist... I think that is going to far, guys. However, you can tell he was getting pissed off. Both men have terrible tempers, I hear. :/

Mccain is a piece of shit.. How the hell do you refer to a Senator as "that One". He is clueless. I could imagine him calling a dignitary or a head of state "That One". No class at all. The people the vote for this Geezer are a bunch of douche bags..

i dont think it was meant as racist acting behavior, i think he just simply forgot and slipped his tongue. therefor it is still really serious. cause you can hear his despise for obama when he says it and i think mccain has a dangerously ugly personality inside of him.
morten123456789 3 years ago
Maybe it wasn't "racist acting behavior", but can you really have someone as your president who "simply forgets" and has "slips of the tongue" when he talks to Foreign Diplomats? People in foreign countries already think that Americans think they are better than everyone else in the world. What would happen to our approval rating from people of the countries that actually like us? We don't need somebody who does know how to keep his own opinions in check in office!

I predict mccain will lose his temper in the last debate and call Obama the N-word......Mccain tried the honourable campaign 200, didnt get him anywhere. time to get dirty. i expect to hear about Obama being a terorist everyday from now on
rishbademha 3 years ago

That would have won McCain the election.

have a news for "THAT WHITE ONE THERE..."
it's been long time since slavery is out. you look old enough to come from that time - but you cannot behave as if you really do.
THAT ONE - which is 72 year old piece of white trash is going down. "IT" looks uglier and uglier every day and looks to me a small piece of "evil".
