jerm....tate had way more octaves and range when he was young, more than any singer from the 80's bar none.....art is nt meant to be judged, it is meant to be enjoyed. I relish and always will what QR did from 83-88. You can never take that body of work away from them. Having said that, "long live rock and roll" and long live the spirit of DIO  \m/ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah i hate Queensryche as of late, Geoff is such a hypocrite and a snob. I can't believe he was so selfish as to not let Ronnie Sing, I use to love Geoffs voice but he's around 50 now and it has been getting worse since he was around 36 or so. Ha Ronnie did and always will prevail, and he could still wale at 66!!!

@SkyeShade That guy is Ronnie James Dio, perhaps the greatest metal singer of all-time. This is the official video by Rhino and his part is dubbed in here. However, he did sing it live and you can find the concert version online. Love this video because it is a treat to hear two of the greatest voices in rock history, Tate and Dio together.

His performance in the studio version is still awesome either way. Mindcrime II didn't live up to the original, but this song came pretty close.

@SkyeShade Right on. OM2 does not compare to the original (nothing could) but I think it is very underrated as a stand-alone album. When you let it grow on you there are some killer tracks on there. Murderer, The Chase, Hostage The Hands, A Junkie's Blues are all great tracks IMO. I think if they dropped Mindcrime from the title, people would be saying how great it is. lol.

@ZillaFitness Yeah, I was pretty disappointed at first, but it turned out to be alright. I usually just start it at Re-Arrange You (epic) and listen through Fear City Slide. The sorrowful atmosphere it sets is really impressive.
