I like this version, but I do prefer Rhianna's. Rhianna's sounds throaty, deep, seductive and needy. That's what I like about the original. This version sounds so content, like, 'Oh it's okay, you can make me your one and only priority later.' while Rhianna's version is all, 'Make me your one and only, NOW.' This version is still good though, I appreciate the soft BG and her raspy voice.

@purplemonk WTF, she covered Your Song for the John Lewis Christmas advert. She covered this song and Heartbeats for Radio One's Live Lounge where artists are asked to cover songs. That's pretty much it. Every other song she's done is her own. She's got quite an extensive album called Bright Lights and has actually written a lot of songs for other people. Example: three of the songs from Diana Vickers' album were written by Ellie.

I can't really compare the two versions, because they're both so different from each other. I think that if I would have to pick just one of them to listen to for the rest of my life, I would pick this version. It calms me down more for some reason. I like Rihanna's version a lot as well, though. They're just very different styles.
