@Boosted1981 I have an HGV licence as well and drive a bus most of the time and roundabouts are the bane of my life, mainly because people don't indicate and drive too fast on the approach, so I don't see them until the last moment. Also, I've had road rage because of a roundabout. Here in Portsmouth (UK), most of our roundabouts are far too small to cope with the volume of traffic, and as a result, cause congestion and accidents.

@redslayer911 yeah but it came about in rallying, the audi quattro and the lancia delta intergrale and other such cars caused the coining of the the term, or so i believe. you have to distinguish between power sliding and drifting. power sliding would have been caused just like you said, by cars slowing increasing in power and skidding round corners however drifting is "the art" if you will of joining these slides together in a seemless driving technique. this technique was developed in 4WD

RWD is wasier to drift as 4wd tends to want to "kick back" into going straight, that is what they are designed to do. Whereas RWD vehicles can just keep powering down to keep the rear wheels moving. This is why the sport of drifting uses RWD vehicles not 4wd...and FWD cannot drift they can only handbrake slide...
