In the 1920's a man made an "oven" in his truck using a modified muffler.
He used the hot exhaust passing over a sealed box, & a "shelf" built on the exhaust manifold..(there was MUCH more free space around engines back then) covered potatoes could roast.
Drives were long back then, & restaurants were few!
@cooldaddyjames2814, better yet triple wrap the turkey and everything else in foil to keep out the dirt. That's a real tip from a 1989 cookbook called "Manifold Destiny".
I remember watching this episode one year on the comedy network or was it on the cbc I can't remember what station it was lol anyways I would try this but I know it wont work this a classic red green handymans corner lol
The only thing that bugged me about Red Green was the paranoid CBC's use of canned laughter over things... It just didn't need it at all... it was great on its own.
You'd be surprised just how dumb people are.

I read that article when I was a boy.

Makes fixin a meal and driving a useful thing. Parts of this car kitchen tale have been practiced in the past. Before "fast food".

love this! I'd would definitely do it if it worked! Of course with the price of gas right now (3.229/gallon) it might be cheaper to cater it.....

I have this episode and I was trying to upload it, but I was having a lot of problems with the format.
