Moore didn't have to lie in Sicko- he just cherry-picked the facts: juxtaposed the very worst of US health with the very best of single-payer/socialized medicine to represent a half-truth as the whole truth. I find it absolutely appalling that Obama would even consider Gupta. If Gupta is chosen then he is nothing more than an Indian American token whose selection was based primarily on ethnicity!! There are 10s if not 100s of thousands of Indian-American doctors in the United States. Yes I'm very surprised at Gupta's nomination. He's a very good friend of big pharma and totally biased. All President Obama needs to do is read the wikipedia on Dr. Gupta to realize this. There isn't much vetting needed. He's not qualified. What we need is someone with integrity and honesty and a solid background in academics with wide respect by the medical community. I nominate Henry Mankin,M.D. from Mass General Hospital. Former Dept. chair of orthopaedics.
