It's hard to believe that Karen Black once was a critically respected, promising, rising star!!!

Karen Black's career went to hell starting in the 1980's. She was a respectable star in the 1970's. It is also interesting that Linda Blair has kind of had a very similar career to that of Black's. Blair's movie career shot through the roof when she was in The Exorcist. After The Exorcist, she did some tv movies and she did have a good career going for herself in the 70's. But in the 80's, it was almost as if she was forced to be in these low budget exploitation movies that really did her in.
