And from what I read, the winner really didn't become a permanent part of the band which was what most viewers probably thought would happen. Apparently after their tour, Inxs let him go then claimed that they didn't, but that he was just on a contract and they'd call him if they needed him for the next tour. He became homeless. The band is just a business, nothing more. I don't admire them anymore.

I love Jordis, and I wish they would of given her more credit her and marty would of been better as the lead for INXS, and look at JD now, got kicked from INXS for the drugs he was doing, and HIS CONTRACT ended also, he thought he was going to be there forever. They left him in Japan the night his contract was up, he is clean now. Still has a beautiful voice and can play but still....

Actually, that is JD Fortune who actually won the show. The expression you are referring to is probably him biting his tongue because Jordis butchered that song and he knew it.
