  • Ive been watching yer vids and I noticed you used a smith machine. Smith machines make benching much easier than if you were using free weights. smith machine bars usually weigh less than half as much as a standard olympic bar, the smith machine also does all the balancing for you while your lifting which takes the real challenge out of benching. Your only cheating youself. Your max is probably about 30lbs lighter on a free weight flat bench
