I gave him the cube but nothing happend (yes i got the objective completed) but the objectives to harvest the elfs and stuff didnt pop up and neither did the giant purple orb

@MrKillroy26 This took me about a week to figure out but check your books, there should be a letter by Septimus, read it and it will tell you to go back.

Anyone who has trouble progressing through the one part of the quest where you must be level 15 or higher, he will magically put a letter in your books that you must read before you are able to progress.... it took me a while to figure it out and i'm level 74....

Sorry guys it took me a few days christmas shopping and such. You are correct your level impacts the progress of this quest you must be lvl 15. I did not notice this requirement as I did this later in my game play so it was a non issue for me.

@MrDimapol same thing, check to make sure you grabbed the lexicon and the elder scroll

FOR PEOPLE STUCK GETTING THE BLOOD SAMPLE: If you didn't get the second part of the quest and you are below level 15 thats because your not a high enough level. To start the second half you must get to level 15 and a courier will contact you emmidietly (I just fast travaled to a town and instantly got it from the courier). If you are over level 15 and this ahppens, it is a bug and the quest becomes un-completable.

@killrkiddx007 when your at the snow place, you will see a whole bunch of buildings sticking out of the snow, bring up your map, then look at your local map, and it will point you DIRECTLY to the door you need to go in. Its a confusing area but youll get it.

@zCeras yes i didnt record the blackreach area because i kept dying, anyways continue through black reach until you see the tall skinny building with a giant gold mask on it. PAST the golems and such. Use the clairvoyance spell to find your way

@coalasoad turn around.....used the CLAIRVOYENCE (sp?) spell if u got it to show you the path. But your looking for a skinny tall building with a gold mask on it. Inside will be the lexicon puzzle

IBrought back the lexicon scroll Where do you find the elder scroll?

@MrDarts501 o no....watch the puzzle part of the vid again. Once u complete the puzzle it will open revealing the elder scroll u have to grab it, and then grab the lexicon.

@xTrueGamingX you brought BACK the lexicon cube thing from the puzzle and gave it to him? (as well as grabbed the elder scroll)? If so you should be able to keep talking to him till he gives the next quest. If not other people have said this is a main story quest just acessed early. So u should be able to get it later on in the game.

When i turned in the lexicon all he said was "run along, ill let you know when i need help" or something along those lines. And i cant start the next part of extracting blood. Can you help?

@jadeyoa another guy said he had the same problem, but found out that he had to be at a higher level before the guy will give the quest. What level are you? I was 25 in the video

@thenewimahich part 4 is comming, but there is no dungeon. He tells you you need to harvest different types of blood from different races. So ive been doing other dungeons collecting blood from orcs, elfs, wood elf, dark elf, high elf, ect... i have 1 more sample to collect then i will crank out part 4
