  • FUCK, Why was I only two years old in 1995? I should of been 18!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Did you film this?

  • "Needing to find something? Is everything okay? I hope you find your niche, someday soon."

I had this tape on my Walkman, skateboarding back in the day. Amazing band, still listen to these albums at least once a week!

  • brings back memories awesome!!

  • wow brings me back love quicksand and I am also psyched about the bassist for Quicksand (SERGIO VEGA) now in my favorite band of all time Deftones!

  • sergio plays in the deftones now. deftones and quicksand toured together before. it's quite cool actually. i love them both.

  • wangdong, cant tell you how much this video means to me, this is like best of quicksand for me. thank you so much!!

    awesome footage

  • Quicksand!!! Hell yeah. I saw these guys with Seaweed, one of the best shows ever.

  • They paved the way...kind of like the blue print...I quite like how the UK iNDIE scene thinks the states is behind...people get what they seek

  • Are you suggesting this is "iNDIE"?

  • Eh ?...who suggested it was iNDIE ?, all I'm sayin is that in general (of course there are exceptions) the alternative/iNDIE UK music scene always thinks its way ahead of anything the states is or has produced. Usually as a reaction to when their music is played or released in the states and then goes straight to the bogof bin.

  • RIVAL SCHOOLS are set to play a concert in Frederick MD. on June 13th 2009

  • I was at this show, it was the very first Warped Tour. Quicksand, Sick of it All, Civ and Orange 9mm played... and it was all downhill from there each year after.

Now the Warped Tour is a steaming pile of dogshit.

  • @xjohnx agreed. i was there too man. this set was incredible.

  • @xjohnx hell yeah.....dude, saw these dudes on the 1st Warped tour, too....in Nhamp, mass....FN rockeD

  • and we're never gonna have a period of such good music like the early/mid 90's again

  • i heard that there is recordings from the third album out there somewhere...

  • If you ever hear of a way to get them, let me know!

  • McDee: Ha ha! I did look like Vanilla Ice!! Ha ha! God, video doesn't allow us to hide any of our questionable looks. Freaking '90s. This whole tour was incredible.

  • I love how all the crew on stage are getting into it as well

Man, Quicksand are such an awesome band, I think i'm gonna start compulsively listening to them

  • hey mcdee, "vanilla ice" behind Sergio is actually Arthur from CIV/Gorilla Biscuits.

  • Fuckn' Gorilla Biscuits!!! I've got a 7" of them somewhere.

  • Kills anything out there today. What band from even the last ten years can even hang with this?

  • 1. Blister (2:36)

    2. Simpleton (2:24)

    3. Fazer (2:58)

  • Look at vanilla ice behind the bass player

  • xDDD

  • NIIIIIICE!!! I was at this.. Thanks for posting! LOVED the Quicksand!!

  • SLIP= THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER RECORDED!!

QUICKSAND= the most underrated band ever!

    GREAT POST!!

no band get me quite as fired up as these guys did, and still do.. wish we had a third album dammit!!

  • ahhhhh, best band in the world, back when the Warped Tour was actually cool.

  • absolutely magnificent band

  • the frist on is my ALL TIME favorite quicksand song...saw them for free at the university of syracuse ny with UB40(i think it was them) and a tribe called quest. one of the best shows i ever saw('94 maybe? damn i'm old)

  • Thanks guys!!

  • If anyone cares, watch 4:18. I am the shaved head kid crowd surfing for about 20 seconds. This was 13 years ago! I went up again and got thrown over the rail and got nicely roughed up by the guards. They were really SCARED!..BTW, I was 17, give me a break.

  • wow schreifels looks really fired up... and them security guys gotta lot of work to do!

  • Amazing band. Circa 95, I was totally into Jawbox, Garden Variety, Helmet, Shudder to Think, Guilt, Chavez, Mind Over Matter and these guys. Great times and great music that I'll always listen to.

  • You had and still have great taste music.

  • Thanks man, and I'm very happy to see that you're into great music as well!

  • Agreed. But you forgot Handsome.Another underrated but best bands of the 90's---

  • Yes, great band as well along with Hum and Swervedriver, Sunny Day etc. The 90s was full of amazing bands, maybe the most innovative decade ever for rock.

  • you said it! you guys just mentioned five of my favorite bands...the early to mid 90s will never be repeated at least for me. i'm already nostalgic at 32.

  • Yeah, I just turned 33 a month ago. I feel the same way which is kinda weird/scary but such is life. Two bands that I really missed out on from the 90s until recently were Guilt as well as Compression. Good stuff.

  • You must be from long island or the city, no one else would know Garden Variety or MOM!

  • I know Garden Variety and I am from Philadelphia.

  • Yes, I did live in NY during the early to mid 90s--Hempstead, Flushing, Bushwick--but I'm not a native. Great times tho and great music! I'm living in Cali now and no, I don't know anyone out this way into MOM and GV. I'm sure there's some crazy clan of them out there somewheres.

  • this is a brillllliiiaannttt post, man! Thanks a fckin lot!!! My god, i miss this band!!!! one of the top

  • probably considered post-hardcore. sort of like fugazi and shift. i remember that they played the first warped tour back in 95. good lineup back then too.

    fluff

    no use for a name

    sublime

    no doubt

and probably some more i forgot.

  • So is this hardcore?

  • Fazer... man that song jams. love these guys, huge influence on a lot of bands after them.
