  • the cover up is great but it's not something you should do all the time, he was out of breath in just half a minute

  • this protect it''s good or no ? me i think it's dangerous

  • thats interesting. . no clean punches in the cover up :D very nice

  • That's actually an interesting trick to try hmm

  • this man is smart

    nice technique.....feel like practicing it

  • i wouldnt throw that white boy in a fight lol. but his style is kinda funny buhh thats something that the mexicans do for the senses, almost like spider type thing, he looks like he dont know what he doing, not the best technique but the point he trynna come across is there

  • These types of drills can help you with your head movement and reaction to block ,slip, roll etc.! Alot of folks can bash this video to hell! But they can't deny that this type of situation happens in a fighting or sparing matches! Other folk's have different styles but they can't deny that boxers like Joe fraizer,Roy Jones and many other famous boxers do this type of defense !!

  • similiar to a womens siminar on how to scratch an attackers eyes out lol im just kidding i would love to train with you and your team you seem very powerful from your lower body and somewhat remind me of a frazier type fighter. i would love to use your own technique against you so you can knock me out something no one has down to date in a sparring match. yet i havent fought quality fighters like yourself who are strong enough to teach me a couple things. if i lose then ill work for the gym free

  • all that wasted movement in you defense technique will miss the oppertunities presented by an aggresive fighter throwing either power punches or calculated combinations or flurries of speed jabs straights designed at setting up the ribs for hooks. what i do agree with on your technique for defending an onslaught is for it to be used for a fighter who is clearly outmatched in speed and strenth from his opponent merely using movement and blocks and only jabs as offense sort of a sweet pea style ko

  • i love the new age approach to boxing you guys are trying to explain but one thing is for sure if you get tagged in the t zone those flaling hands go straight up and it will leave your body to get tagged which in some cases to certain fighters its a punch they would rather take on the chin, and a boxer who at least has been fighting for 2 months would know not to waste puches he didnt know were going to land in turn giving up defense for offense on wasted punches that drop his gaurd to counterko

  • Try that with me il probably knock you to the ground

  • great corner work ...

  • Almost looks like Wing Chun. Bob-weave-duck-dodge style! 'Good stuff...

  • @soulinthewall77 many bare knuckle fighters of the 1700-1800 fought wiht the elbow down method like in wing chun as to not let elbows take shock form blows. so acutally taht was what boxing looked like wing chun+ slipping + irish or scottish wrestling+ elbowing + bong sau+ grion shots+ plus hair grabing and beating head in+ eye gouging(for some time)= bare knucke bobing and weaving came with modern boxing as elbow down punching could clip ir face while bobbing etc.

  • thats fucken koool gota try it now :D

  • jack dempsey said the best defense is a aggressive defense. meaning ever defensive move or block is followed by a counter punch.

  • @sk8forlife90 totally agree blocking is passive move remaining passive increases the chance ur aggresor get more hits in.

  • @kaindrg also when you become passive and cover up the aggresor feels like he is winning or is in control and makes him more aggressive and looks for the finish.

  • @sk8forlife90 True often, how ever look at how Floyd Mayweather uses, fients, covering up and the shoulder roll to avoid being hit and is then able to hit his opponent on the counter, if the guy your fighting starts to look for the finish and becomes aggressive there is a good chance he will leave himself open and you can tag him, counters shock and tend to cause more damage than ordinary punches, also counters tend to be easier to land and give you better punch landed % stats

  • @sk8forlife90 which means your not wasting any energy, while your opponent is and is missing his shots, maybe getting frustrated and being more aggressive and opening up even more and tiring, if you have the reflexes being a counter punching fighter that can cover, shoulder roll, fient and counter, is a good way to win rounds while sustaining little damage, Hatton charged in against a FM and he got knocked out, over aggression can be the other fighters down fall with cool slick countering

  • @sk8forlife90 sorry for budging in. passive fighters are those who are more to counters and are "intelligent" fighters. those who read the opponents attacks and movements, and will almost all the time wear the opponent out before going on him. passive and agressive has its pro and cons mentally and physically

  • @jiniton hm, you seem to know what you are talking about. can you explain more if you don't mind.

  • @sk8forlife90 well thats pretty much there is to it. agressive fighters are those who hit whenever they can, when theres an opening or not. they usually have advantage if they have more range and a bigger mass. but this style need good cardio and if they are just simply throwing punches, it will end them up getting KOed. they can win mentally by psyching out the opponent, making them afraid to go in with attacks

  • @sk8forlife90 both styles or any style is good, it doesnt depend on which art you are in, boxing, muay thai, BJJ, karate even TKD. it depends on the fighter and how much training he has been through and also his heart. he may be 7 foot tall but if he cowers after a couple of hits than he is done for. in the ring you also need to use your mind to think of better strategies to counter and combo your opponent and spot out his flaws and weak points/bad habits.

  • @jiniton you should think when you train but if your in a fight you fight, you don't think unless you want to get your teeth knocked out.

  • did he even land any punches!?

  • now thats embaressing

  • if you workon those techniques, you can too win a street/prison fight.

  • straight up street/ring/jail fighting.

  • lol he got hit like every time.

  • it looks like hes getting his ass kicked to me, try doing that technique with mike tyson coming at you. lol

  • This is retarded

  • @dlc85007 u dont understand the drill

  • @dlc85007 boy yu sick go throw up

  • very well said quintus8987

  • What !!!!??

  • LOL WTF LOL HE TIRED

  • @jayshep110 he can still knock you out though

  • @k9r100 u think so if i post a video i bet u change yo mine

  • @jayshep110 i dont underestimate you my friend, its just that u think he's tired. he's the trainer he's not the trainee.how old is he, for how long has he been training that day, and even if he's tired he's still strong. Peace

  • yeah i understand the drill is for when you get caught in the corner with a brawler or a heavy handed puncher you might want to keep your hands going like he said and move your head and get out the corner. It also works if you get rocked pretty good.

  • he's just throwing uppercuts at him though

  • lmao get in shape heavyweight champion,

  • am new to boxing what is the best way to practice blocking and dodging

  • @bluepitbulllover sparring and slip bag

  • I like the concept, the only issue I have is if your opponant is throwing real punches and throwing real uppercuts on the inside. Especially the Hw division, one punch can change everything.

Great Idea though. Good for trusting your sense, footwork, hearing and rythum, but for any amateur boxers, please don't use as your tool for the corner. Your goal is not to get in the corner in the first place, and that starts with a good jab, and sound foot work.

  • this is a joke right?...

  • the guy punching fights like Emanuel Augustus

  • great technique but when i first saw it i laughed, just the way it looked but then again its probably a very good to use

  • great video! super set of coaches brilliant defensive drill, my lads wil be doing it tonight, thank you. please keep the drills coming

  • I think a lot of people are missing the point of this drill. Dude is trying to explain that you don't have to see a punch coming to block it with good technique.

The point isn't to close your eyes when a punch is thrown, but to practice good technique because you won't always see them coming.

  • This is basicly teaching you to close your eyes when someone throws a punch at you. LMAO, if I were the guy punching I would just pick my shots instead of throwing meaningless flurries.

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common ppl.

  • Thank you.

  • This is retarded..You _do_ have to see your opponent's hands in order to defend properly. You guys shouldn't try to teach wrong things..

  • that is useless just check how tired he became and the other guy punching was fine. If that was a real fight he would have been finished after another 30 seconds of doing that shit

  • @killerkhan geee i wonder why you never saw a top level boxing try that out LOL

  • @killerkhan dude in a real fight hed throw a punch when the other guy leaves himself open like that and would get knocked down most likely ... ur not gonna do it for 30 seconds straight

  • umm if he was moving around then wouldnt u jus escape and reverse the situation

  • like martial arts

  • Great drill, but you should still always try to keep your eyes on your opponent.

  • nice i didnt know that

  • hmmm....

  • 5 stars. Now THIS is brilliant.

  • takes the wind out of you doesn't it.
