well, if you dont know, there are processes in a car factory done by humans because they need more caution, caution that cant be found in a robotic arm.
Even so this factory looks inefficient. The guy standing there is costing money.. Every second counts. The place is a mess, which is inefficient and dangerous. Yes, i study these processes and i'll design these lines later :)
I really dont see major difference from this and a BMW factory, both have sections where humans have to work on it. Even a Ferrari is made almost 75% or more by humans. I mean, you say you know about it, well, you should know that the production lines moves after certain amount of time and the worker has to do his part on that specific time, if the guy is done way before it moves, he has to wait anyway. I have been study the car manufactoring process, too.
I'm sure you heard of the TPS then. Every second spent there being inefficient costs money. The guy behind him, should be given more help by completing his work as he clearly stalls the line. At NedCar for example they do this by lifting the car up a bit so he does not need to bend over / go under the car. This simple move can save 20 seconds. 20s times 1000 cars a day is 20.000s = 6-7 minutes a day. As this clip lasts around one minute it is 6 cars * 20k = 120.000$ a day !!!
That factory is so far away from modern standards its a bit disturbing.

LOL These cars are being built by humans.
Never get a human to do a machine's job. Where's all the ABB robots at?

I went to the plant two days ago on a tour in Korea. The music comes from big cranes on top of the assembly line. When they start moving.
