2:47 is such a let down for me. That's one of my favorite little things in the whole show! :/ Actually the whole thing vocally is a little weak. The actor playing Jason was really straining his voice in some parts, and it just sounded bad.
I love Michael Arden! However, not a huge fan of John Hill in this. Maybe if Michael were paired up with James Snyder. That would be a pair worth watching for sure. I just feel that Michael and James both bring passion to their roles. Don't get me wrong, Matt Doyle is great. However, comparatively, I prefer Michael. Same with John Hill and James Snyder
Peter seems to be more nervous in this one. He's the one looking around and trying to keep a look out which feels a little strange to me since he's the one attempting to come out. But still it was well sung and all the actors work well together^_^.
I think that instead of nervouse he was probably going for flustered and...quite frankly in love. It looks kinda like hes looking around corners in order to see how far he can go with Jason without anybody seeing bcuz of how Jason feels. just a though =)
I think it was more the way that Peter seemed to be "brushing Jason off" than it was the young man playing Jason being too 'touchy'. Nonetheless, boys - I felt it. Great acting/chemistry - and best of all, SINGING. I began watching this with low expectation (thinking it a high school production - maybe it's the uniforms but you both appear pretty young) and came away pleasantly surprised.
My biggest criticism would be the direction (or lack) of the chorus, who appear to amble around aimlessly.
