How can you allow your students to learn about him at this superficial level, and state uncorrected that he was anti-rational, and that his main contribution was as founder of "romanticism", or even the "father" of the hippy movement ?! Rousseau's notion of the noble savage is a pipe dream, in my opinion. There is a corrupt side to human nature that exists outside the bounds of society. There is a good and bad side to people, so forgetting about that bad side, is a recipe for disaster.
