I dont think this could be done by a beginner with a single blade setup like the blade 120 sr..at least I dont think I am that good enough to do it in such a small space; coaxials are easier of course where single blades seem autonomous
When I shall try to hoover it for my first time, should I take the trim of the throtle all the way down? and if I spin the main rotor by hand, how should it feel?
@Penton7 Yeah trim all the way down for starters. Rotor should spin about 1 revolution with a gentle spin if the motor / gears and brushes are all OK.
@Penton7 A little bit of "roughness" is normal. The teeth of the motor / gear are straight cut and are not completely "smooth" Also the pull form the motor magnets will make if feel choppy when spinning slowly. Glad you like the vids. Tell your friends about MikeysRC =)
hi Mike thanks for the helpful video, I do have a question, I've just bought my first RC Helicopter and when I hover it the whole body of is in a constant slow spin. Do you know what is causing this?
@MikeysRC Thanks, is it ok for me to fly in mode 2 i think it is, where the right stick controls rudder because i struggle with the right stick controlling rudder and ailerons, i only have a basic coax 4ch which was cheap, but once i learn to fly better do u have any suggestions for a reasonable priced fixed pitch choppa for relative beginner?
what was that other chaps beef. i dont think he liked your lessons much! i've only just got my lama v3 an upgrade from a syma s107 which is a three channel micro chopper. i realize that i have not a clue how to fly i think your lessons will be a great help. dont worry about stupid comments. keep up the good work.
I will be getting my first helicopter in the mail in a couple of days. I've been studying your videos and find them very informative and helpful. Thanks for posting.
good and very detailed info, exactly what a beginner like me needs, I ordered my training kit and my heli from different shops, so when I got my bird first, I instinctivley wanted to try to fly it first,......big mistake,ha ahh ha , got lucky and only damaged a landing leg, I'ma throttle down on my urges a bit and pay attention to ur vids, keep em comeing in , I'll be watchin, thankx.
I have like a beginners heli, but the left stick doesn't move side to side, but there is a rotating cap in the center, does that work just like the left stick or is it completely different?
Thanks a lot Mike. I recently got CP2 but was too scared to try it. I guess after looking through your video I am ready for it:)! To the rest of the people out there....This is how you teach:D! Simple yet interesting! Cheers
You may have heard it quite a few times, but maybe not enough. Thanks for these videos, man! It really helped me and my gf learn how to fly our heli! Keep it up! By the way, what's up with the puppet? Is that your other hobby? It's cool man!
Hey there, i just bought a Blade SR and these videos are the only (decent) teaching aid i can come across, I can maintain rotor control, but find every time i try to hover, the heli (remaining level) drifts off to its left (without yawing or banking). Could this be a center of gravity, or perhaps rotor alignment issue? (rotor blades are definitely in track) or is it more likely my bad input over and/or under correcting the movements... Can you offer some advice Mikey???
Now I have Belt CP V2, but I want to practise on something smaller and easier to fix in case of crash. I am making decission between CP3 and FP2. In my opinion CP3 is near to Belt, but FP2 is easier. Could you please help me with this decission?
Mikey your videos really help. ty. I getting a 6-channel fixed pitch capable of 3d for christmas. i have a half court in my backyard so is that a good place to practice?
I am getting my new baby next week the 2009 Walkera Creata 400 Premium Brushless Rc Helicopter (yeah I know I am jumping in the deep end head first lol) and I am sure your videos are going to help me immensely (assuming I dont crash it lol)
I crashed mine after 2 days and am yet to repair it (lol). I went a little to advanced for what I am capable of, but if you have experience flying then yes, it is worth it!
I have been thinking about the axe cpv3, I haven't buy it yet, but I'm practicing a lot with the realflight simulator, My dad will pay me half of the heli, he plans to fly it too
is there anything i can do to a JXD drift king to give it more of a kick when its going left/right on the cyclic.
would a change on the gear size help?

when i move my heli it looses all its height and i have to add throttle to keep its height
is that normal?
lukeer32 6 months ago
@lukeer32 Yeah when the angle of the heli changes from vertical you will need to add more throttle to maintain the same height.

@Chr1sRoXx Pretty much every helicopter does this a little. Try adding some right aileron trim. But don't expect perfection with these smaller helis.

Well go with the FP if you want fewer parts to break when you crash buy this heli must be flown in no wind situations only.
