If you weren't driving that half ass German POS you might have made it...with a faster lap time. Start practicing those hand signals...it would be a shame for a porsche to repeat that disater again
Man, I feel for you. How badly was the car damaged? I run an E46 and they are pretty good about feedback, but I been at RA and know that turn well..live to race another day!
@drzoidberg11 good to see you care that he's ok, we all do. Lifting of the gas, however, when racing around a track is much different from the results if you were everyday driving, try a simulator and see what happens in turn 12 when the back end steps out.
But let's not go telling everyone that lifting is always a bad thing. It's not! And it certainly has it's usefulness when the ass gets loose, on a more level surface. Exiting 7 is a good example of that.
You see, it's not just because you lifted. It's because you lifted coming DOWN the hill for 12. The rear of the car is already really light there, and you took just enough force off the rear when you lifted.
Allow me to rephrase: if you lose the back end in a HIGH SPEED corner like turn 12 at RA, don't lift. At low speeds it won't snap like that, but at high speeds and damn near maximum g-load the consequences of lifting are dire...
Also, the reason im sitting here typing and not in a hospital or morgue is that i had racing bucket seats, 6-point harnesses, a HANS device and a rollcage. Don't watch this and go thinking you can crash your street M3 at 110 backwards and walk away
yup... lifted. Could'nt tell you why but I did. Just a lesson to all you track-day goers: when you lose the back end don't you lift. Don't you ever ever lift or you'll end up like I did in the wall...

Man - sucks to see that. I find it hard to fight natural instinct to lift when I shouldn't. Glad to see you walk away from it though.
