Shelburne Diary (Part 5): Wind

That's awesome!! Ontario's going wind!! WOOT WOOT! You're right. Videos and pics don't do it. They just started putting up wind farms around my area last year. Our largest has 88 turbines. You should see what that looks like! It is breathtaking!

Wind power is amazing. But it still gets a lot of opposition from the NIMBY (not in my backyard) crowd unfortunately. Last year I was on vacation and took the train from Vienna to Budapest. Austria has hundreds of wind generators and they were a beautiful sight from the train. Then we crossed into Hungary and there were fewer and fewer generators. Then none. So many countries (including our own) have a lot of catching up to do.

would you know if southgate, (just west of shelburne) is going to part of the wind project? particularly hwy 89 and county road 125 please let me know of any information.
