That is what I thought also, but it did not, and wood is not recognizable by xrays or scans.

I met a middle aged man in a nursing home in Ohio, who was there because 9 years earlier he had swallowed a toothpick. it is lost in his body, and no scans can find it. Don't put toothpicks in baking or in any pans or food.
