I found some old films from the old days when Bungie had the ranking system . One of them is a 6 man steal the bacon went for 3 1/2 minutes of sudden death with my last soulless dieing but getting the win !!! Incredible game . Wish someone would do another itteration of this game again !!

@leehodgson1969 Yeah, I wish I kept up some of those games. Was involved in some epic Gimble in the Wabe CTF's where the games when into 10 minutes OT. Some of my favorite video game memories. I'm surprised there are not some of those multiplayer games on YouTube yet. Upload some of the games and show what the younger gaming generation missed out on.

myth 1 and 2 were really great games. halo is shit compared to the storyline of myth. i remember playing this game and getting chills with my friends. it was truly creepy and you just dont get quality games like this anymore

Myth has a long and rich history, and I highly recommend playing myth TFL first and paying close attention to the story (its a great story). And then beating m2. THEN try multiplayer. THe community left over who still play this game online are crazy good.

@John845 Bungie's made a lot of games, their first was actually PONG (released as "gnop!") They also made a game where you played as a tank and the final boss was a giant Saddam Hussein head.

In my opinion, their best games are (from worst to best): Abuse, ONI, Pathways into Darkness, Myth (too bad I can't play it...), and Halo or Marathon... Hard for me to say.

I think it's partly because most modern RTS games lack the sheer visceral experience of Myth. Where else can you pile up 50 satchels and create a literal "rain" of undead body parts?

Nothing like watching a bomb go off in the middle of a pack of enemies;body parts flying everywhere. The ww2 plugin was great too. Really haven't found an rts since myth that had the same feeling/fun factor.

Well Halo was actually going to be better than the Halo you know today. Infact, Halo actually started out as a Sci-Fi RTS, kinda like Myth, but with marines and aliens. Then one of the programmers was having fun playing the game with this one over-powered unit called "The Master Chief". They then decided to make the game just about this character and change it into a third-person shooter/ action adventure for the PC and Mac. And then Microsoft bought them and it became an FPS.

I actually mod the hell out of this game - and right now i have physics set up where a trow can kick someone, send them flying (As a whole body!) and then have a random % chance that they survive (with low health) and get back up after technically being "killed" and sent flying. Myth 1.7 update is going to rule - new projectiles into monsters technology!

Actually it is myth 2 - check the interface. This is the TFL Magma Multipack plugin for Myth 2 soulblighter. It has some classics from Myth 1 in it, and we are also playing with vTFL on - a feature in the latest myth updates that allows you to have simulated TFL units on any map that has normal myth 2 units. (it crashes if you turn VTFL on with many plugins - if their units are heavily edited it might conflict - but otherwise any NORMAL map works with it)

Yes, Sadly... I'm not sure if its still up anymore. Just about a week ago I tried to get back on but the server was down (Bungie stop contributing to the game around 2001 but there have been other "player" made servers such as playmyth.) Sadly I think play myth shut down and I just haven't had the time to go check and see what happened to this great game.
