I love Regine V. but I just gotta say that the huskiness of Mariah's voice adds up to the overall emotion of her songs. That is something that RVlacks. The bridge part of Butterfly, Regine imitates Mariah's style but sadly no or little emotion. The "To the Sun" part though, Regine belted it much higher than Mariah. Mariah is one of kind, and Regine being a fan of hers is a living proof of that. Dont get me wrong, like I said I love RV. She's the Asia's Songbird. But MC is just on a diff calibre.

i agree they're both good, but of different caliber. different in da sense dat one thing is missing from the other (RV), which is SOUL. that's what's been missing from RV's performances all these years. Regine is a BELTER alryt...but not a soulful belter like the black Divas (Beyonce, Mariah, Tamia, Whitney, Aretha Franklin, and so on...). I LOVE the fact that we now have a new breed of very talented and SOULFUL young artists like Sarah G, Rachelle, Frenchy, etc... WAY TO GO, CHAMPIONS !!!
