@squirebuffy Letoya's voice just grew into this ....she didn't have a voice for recording during the destiny child days...tone deaf..meaning didn't know how to utilize the sound of her voice to match the song..beyonce was really good with this in the begininng and kelly this is why they were able to record the songs quicker and get them released on time..Toya took time off and got her voice together! Now she is Excellent!

It wasn't just her looks because she wasn't even the finest one in the group. She was probably the third finest. LaToya has now just gotten this good. If you would had been following her career, then you would have known that she wasn't that good at first. Truth. She is good/gotten better, but not great.

@IamJTwinn beyonce is very talented, but her being the lead singer in the group was by matthew knowles design from the very beginning. michelle did an interview shortly after becoming the newest member where she acknowledged that the original girls couldn't stand the fact that they had no chance to sing lead or become more than background singers for beyonce in the group. michelle & kelly were willing to do this & basically made great $ 4 playing the background.
