I love to see the earth rising on space. it throws a different light on so many things. the earth can not be our home for endless times. if we dont kill ourselfes and if we will be able to handle our manifold problems here on earth in the near and broader future,then the space will become the element we life in. someday we will be forced to seriously think about leaving the earth. this will be the greatest task in history of mankind. i wish i could life at this time.

Getting to the moon was very complicated because we faced the Unknown. Its ok for you to sit their now knowing that we've been there and that we are now in space.

lol, I am only kidding. The known movements of the earth and moon with the gravity all known brings everything simply to math. if you can equal out the equations the mission will be successful given that everything is done on time and without error. it is the closest neighbor to the earth and the only other place man has set foot to our knowledge. it's great to think about but that's also all we have ever done in respects to military bases and/or human astronauts visiting.

I was looking at the photos of the surveyor craft having crashed two years earlier on the moon.

at the time of the photos we didnt have technology to photograph from earth or machines to take photo.

indeed we still cant photo this from earth or hubble etc.

The Apollo vehicles, equipment etc. Are to small for Hubble. People think that Hubble should be able to view all of Mans work on the moon. That is not the case. Let me put it simple. Get a pair of 7x50 binoculars and try to read the text your monitor with a font size of 6.

Thanks for the video. I am always saddened by the conspiracy theorists. Most have very limited knowledge of the Apollo years and an even more limited knowledge of physics. I have yet to here one shred of conspiracy 'evidence' that cannot be refuted by a very simple, scientifically grounded explanation. nasa did not forget about stars, they simply decided not to put any in as any novice astronomer would realize the stars where not in the right spots from views on the moon. thats why no pics with stars on apollo 11

Actually, a novice photographer knows that you can't capture stars and something as bright as the sunlit moon in one frame, way too much contrast difference.

What McWgogs said! Also, the positions of the stars in the vicinity of the moon are only very slightly different from on Earth, because the stars are much farther away than the moon. The nearest star is 4.5 light years away; the Moon is 250,000 miles away. That is a factor of about 106 million. I don't think the difference would be visible in moon photos. The stars are not there because they are too faint, not because NASA covered anything up.

the earth's terminator line is way to dark, it goes from the light side of the earth to the dark without fading out into the dark side, it shouldn't just drop off like that

these are home movies taken with super 8 by one of the astronauts because they were so amazed at the sight of the earth I believe. They said they forgot all about the moon, forgot all about the mission too, noses up against glass, just gazing at the beauty of the earth. They took their own movies of what they saw... can anyone verify? I think thats correct.

When using a camera (less sensative than the eye) The brighter area is is over compensated so apeture not wide enough to pick up stars! Question... miday clear sunny day. can u see stars? You can see little blips of stars randomly. It has something to do with the lenses of the old cameras with the extreme difference between the light from the earth and the minimal light from stars.
