I first found it while looking through the game's resource files. It was a bit startling, seeing this creepy face I'd never seen in the actual game before.

So it's just the very last sign that's unused, right? Because I have memories of seeing the stuff leading up to it all those years ago - the "rub 'I'm out" and "struggle as he might" are especially strong ones.

I miss these point and click games. Now that Xbox 360 has those keyboard attachments I wish that XBLA would revamp all of these games. Or heck... NES released Kings Quest 1 back in the day. Something could be figured out. Another one I loved was "Torin's Passage."

@hootyhaha Actually, it was King's Quest 5 that was released on NES. So far as I know, no other King's Quest game has ever been put on a console. But there's a reboot for the series being planned. And from what I've read, it'll be a point & click adventure.

What's unused is the "Restore\Restart\Quit" window, not the death itself. Normally, you see the usual tombstone picture, not the creepy innkeeper grin.
