  • I love this video. I watched it over and over during my pregnancy. I had a waterbirth for my son in Feb 2010 and it was just a wonderful as the one in this video, and sometimes I come back to watch this one to remember my son's birth. Thank you for posting it.

  • you are beautiful!

  • I found this video about 2 years ago, it was the first water birth I had ever seen and ever since I have had in mind that this is the way I would like to give birth. Your daughter is beautiful and watching this video brings tears of joy to my eyes. I would like to thankyou for introducing me to this way of birthing, you have inspired me and I assume others aswell. Plus I love the song :)

  • I'm going to be honest here, you 245 people are heartless... this is beautiful.

  • que lindo!

  • White people be the nastiest motherfuckers. Having your husband sitting in your nasty, bloody ass cooch water. Yuck

  • @theogass I assume it was his choice to sit in the water with her. Many fathers don't get in but if he chooses to, that is his right and it is not your place to judge or post nasty comments.

  • This is beautiful(:

  • BEAUTIFUL video- I cried. One of the most tasteful and sincere I've had the privilege of watching :)

  • Wow, I can't get over little baby Auggie & how much Olive looks EXACTLY like herself when she was so tiny.

  • @candywarhola1 haha totally yes

  • eeee i wouldnt be sittin in a pool full of blood! fuck that

  • BORN IN BLOOD!

  • i just had to tell you how much i enjoy your blog! A friend of mine showed me this video (which somehow led to your blog) and we just thought it was so pretty :) so congrats on the beautiful family and the beautiful way you look upon life! :)

  • @jujujujujuliah thank you!

  • I just have to tell you I love that people like you guys post these videos because it really brings back those warm feelings of what it was like to be pregnant and give birth. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful thing with the world! The whole video was just amazing and you have a beautiful family :)

  • 2:11 nice pool ! LOL

  • This may seem stupid, but were you scared of the blood in the pool? I mean if the pool wasn't stable enough?

  • @unknown00724 scared because i thought it might spill out you mean? if so, no not at all.

  • I always get poked and proded by doctors and I've never been able to handle pain but ever since I was a young girl I knew I wanted to have my child at home in the water and every video I see like this one just reminds me that I can do it. God made my body for this very occastion and I will be well prepared to do this with God when the time comes. I cried watching this because I know in my heart that together with a support team I can bring my child into this world peacefully.

  • if you don't mind me asking, was your husband a tattoo artist? if so, than thats awesome

  • @OneSimpleHacker no he's not a tattoo artist but that might save me a lot of money!

  • I am the only one who got seriously teary eyed? THAT WAS AN AWESOME VIDEO (:

  • Lady u have a nice stomach, im sure ur baby had a fun time waiting in there to see you

  • To the 240+ people. Learn to love. It is the greatest gift of all.

  • very touching! :')

  • shes beauitful.

  • This made me cry!! How very precious your family is...I'm thinking about giving birth at home I'm due May 11th, 2012! =D

  • she has such a nice name, it just rolls of the tongue so effortlessly. like a famous persons name!! beautiful video!!

  • i really dont understand the point of waterbirth because it's supposed to provide baby with comfort from traveling from the womb into warm water but you still need to take the baby out of the water, so isnt it kinda pointless? or maby im not understanding this.

  • @84561237456123 <-- You're not understanding it. It's to help mom's labor and delivery process.

  • @84561237456123 it has those benefits yes, but for me it was all about pain management.

  • Very beautiful video and awesome family. You all must be very nice and friendly types. Who shares their family with the world these days? And to people commenting rudely about the tattoos. "The only difference between tattooed people and non tattooed people is that tattooed people don't care if you're not tattooed."

  • Your husband seems to be very caring

  • @mersylla he is amazing

  • Thank you for sharing this video with the world. Im expecting my 2nd child.

  • there are 240 people who were sad this wasent porn

i, thought it was cute :)

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful video... what a joyful experience!

  • This is the sweetest birth documentary I've ever seen. God bless you!

  • this is why you dont get trashy tattoos in horrible places.

  • @paulinakaczor7 I wondered who could say such a comment on a beautiful video. Took a look at your profile and all you have are makeup subscriptions you superficial bitch. Then I googled your screen name and all you do is go around talking shit about other peoples videos! LOL, how lame is that? And you go on vampirediariesonline.tv also? HAHAHAHA vampire diaries, LMAO!

  • @paulinakaczor7 You are the trash. If you don't like it, why you here? This was a beautiful experience for this person and she wanted to share it with everyone and you came and added your negativity. Get a life.

  • Women I envy all of you. It's a gift od God....from: Brazilian man

  • Joy? A... I dk , It jut seems fun to me and rather funny. How can a baby come out from the the um u know what that is when the baby is so big?

  • More than 10,000 American women each year choose planned homebirth with a homebirth midwife in the mistaken belief that it is a safe choice. In fact, homebirth with a homebirth midwife is the most dangerous form of planned birth in the US. A friend’s wife who is an alternative medicine nut once literally told me that if there’s any complication in her pregnancy during her homebirth her midwife will give her “some herbs.” When I asked her which herbs, she couldn’t answer (and got mad at me).

  • I can tell over the pics it was painful sometimes wasnt it?Well i dont have really good memories when i give birth to my lil girl...i have to say the whole pregnancy was beautiful but in the end when i was in nine month was realy painful,i was for a week in a hospital and had contractions fro 16 hours and i mean for real! And i wanted to have a waterbirth but the docters recommended that i should give birth on the bed,oh man i would never forget that morning, well in the end i had cae. section :)

  • Why the fuck did I just searched this?

  • Is it fun to give birth ?

  • @Rogen921 its not fun... its JOY...

  • I'm very sorry you cried during your birth, it must have been very upsetting and traumatic for you. I can only assume you'll be more careful when using contraceptives in the future.

  • are shark infested waters good for the kid?

  • This actually almost made me cry lol

  • i dont wanna see that shit

  • @neoandertal then stop watching it

  • @neoandertal Then don't... Let the rest of us enjoy this video.

  • I love this! My midwife is Kathy too...i found your video by googleing Kathy's name! Beautiful video! We are also planning a home birth with Kathy for January...i love her so far! she does rock :) your daughter is so cute (i also watched your other video) We are going to be having a girl too :)

  • @lkilleen7 YAY! i can't speak highly enough of kathy! she is and was wonderful!

  • Your daughter is beautiful :)

  • Your husband was in the tub with you to hold the baby? Isn't that unsanitary with all the blood around and other fluids? :|

  • WONDERFULL VIDEO :) I LIVE IN MEXICO IS VERY NICE ¡¡¡¡

  • this is so beautiful

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • aw :)

  • i love your tummy tats they are beautiful even more so as your tummy grows :) <3

  • This video is so beautiful and they make it seems so simple. My sister is currently giving water birth as well and she is in excruciating pain, crying and screaming for help. I wonder how more painful it would be if she wasnt in water

  • This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience with the world!

  • really beautiful. ill say what i said on the last vid i watched: its strong, proud women like you who make me hope to have a baby one day. at home, with family. with love.

  • Beautiful! I love her name, too. :)

  • Olive is a gorgeous baby! You are so lucky to have a child like her!!

  • Beautiful

  • Are water births less painful than natural births?

  • @Opium1958 can you clarify this for me? i had a water birth AND it was all natural. the only pain relief i used was the warm water. i felt a lot more comfortable in the water than anywhere else in the house .

  • @softletters i think they were trying to ask if the water birth was less painful than just a birth without any drugs..

  • @Opium1958 If you have a low risk pregnancy it is a much better idea to do an at home water birth. It's less expensive and you get a more personal experience. On top of that in a tub you are better able to respond to what your body tells you to do naturally. laying on your back in a bed restricts your movements, and could cause more pain since it constricting your movements.

  • @Opium1958 Think how much better you feel after a shower on a long day where you worked hard. It is much less painful. I actually did not have a water birth (I had to have c section unfortunately), but had several friends who'd taken showers/jacuzzi baths during birth to ease contraction pain, and it was the best pain relief for them, better than any pain killer!

  • beautiful.

  • 1:38 tattoo reminds me of a dildo .. but my rabbit dont look like that!

    love it !

  • wonderful :) thank you for sharing.. x

  • this made me cry its so beautiful.. your so lucky to have no noticeable stretchmarks..

i think more people should do the natural birth thing.. us humans have gotten so used to taking medicine for EVERYTHING. we are making every generation weaker and weaker doing this. things should always happen as natural as possible.

  • I am amazed at how many women view child birth as an "experience" or a way to "prove" themselves. It is neither. Its a way to bring healthy children into the world safely. Its that simple. I feel sorry for mothers who don't realize that. They are missing the entire point of being a parent. You only spend hours giving birth, but the rest of your life being a mother. Its too bad some woman have to learn this the hard way. I am glad this family got lucky. Some are not so fortunate.

  • this is how mother/parenthood should be with a beautiful healthy baby not no damn teen mom

  • ohhh :) So so sweet...You are good mum and dad ! :)

  • this is soo beautifuol im expecting my 1st child and this touches my heart.sending all my love to ur famly from malaysia

  • i love water

  • painful? which one did you find less painful water ir hospital im expecting a girl and dont know which to go to?

  • 233 people haven't had a peaceful waterbirth

  • Great now the baby has to live in this shitty world.

  • why did he get in that dirty as water with her?

  • @bigbrown4114493 that honestly is a dumb question- hello they have children together- bodily fluids have been shared- why would he care about the water and what is in it! He was excited to hold his child! TOTALLY NORMAL

  • awh picture at 2:06 did it for me <3 :')

  • how cute! i love your tattoos. pefect family both daddy n mommy look very happy! congrats!

  • I can't believe how good your tattoos look after getting pregnant!

  • How could anyone 'Dislike' this?

This is such a amazing video! Even though it was just music and photos, the images and lyrics fitted together beautifully... it brought tears to my eyes.

I LOVED at 2:00 when Mum looks like she's really feeling it, but Dad is right behind her holding her and the lyrics say, "I can comfort you with my own two hands".

    So special. <3

  • We're preparing for our 2nd homebirth. Our oldest will be almost 4 and was at her sister's home waterbirth, but doesn't remember it very well (2 years ago) so we've been watching birth videos online. Yours is by far her most requested! She asks to watch "the mom with the coloring" (tattoos) and both of my daughters like to bounce on their little ball like your son since they saw him do it. Thank you for sharing <3

  • @mehungry98 so sweet!!

  • It's beautifull

  • Its a wonder the kid wasnt born with a tattoo,Olive?really? why Olive?

  • Beautiful!

  • Hi, my name is Kelly and im 12. And for being 12 I hear a lot about teenage preg. SOOOO I decided to spend sometime watching videos about having a kid and giving birth. I am doing this to teach myself on how its a lot of work to have a kid and that im not ready for one, for a long time. NO TEEN PREG FOR ME. Cheer me on!

  • @ThePrettyPerfects I had the same idea, and im also 12. I also watched that show 16 and pregnant, I think that the girls on that show get pregnant so that they can become famous.

  • @ThePrettyPerfects good job.. spread the word to all your other teenage friends

  • just beautiful!!!!! very touching made me cry...God Bless and ty for sharing such a beautiful experience.. mommy is a beautiful young women and daddy handsome n loving..your babies are gorgeous too...

  • what is the title of the song?

  • @snublola my own two hands by ben harper. this is the acoustic version

  • @softletters

This video makes me happy when I have had a bad day. Thank you for sharing.

  • @snublola Jack Johnson, Ben Harper "My own two hands"

  • Awww, I'm so happy for you! You have a great husband!

  • ur husband is cute for getting in the pool with u, my husband would do somethin like that too xo happy it worked out far ya hun

  • it's not good to do it at home bcus if u have complications the risks are higher.u or da baby may not get medical treatment in time

  • @ElephantsTongue a midwife assisted, planned homebirth is statistically just as safe as any hospital birth

  • Girls are so desperate for having a child that they choose men like my father.

  • nasty

  • So beautiful. This made me cry :) Everything about this video is so amazing. Your husband holding you while being in pain, OH MY GOSH, that got the best of me. <3

  • @AlyssiaLove that is also one of my favorites! he was such a champ through it all!

  • This was a beautiful was to celebrate the birth, congrats, it is a wonderful video.

  • Beautiful, wonderful, spiritual, miraculous...Thank you so much for sharing this blessed event with us. God bless your whole family. Peace

  • What was better for you at the hospital or the water birth?

But this was very enjoyable and cute to watch thanks for the upload. xx

  • @Tazzah92 BY FAR the homebirth. almost incomparable in the level of satisfaction involved.

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • i hope i can do water birth when i get my second baby.i failed at first baby..^~^

  • aww, this video was so lovely. Daddy just joined right in the water! Nice video~

  • Did your tattoos stretch when you were pregnant?

  • @Jennaye17 yes but they went back to normal after. they were slightly faded but that's all

  • Wow. Beautiful video, beautiful baby girl.

  • wow i love this video so much! im expecting my first little monster and considering giving birth in water too, in the hospital though just in case as im a first timer and better be safe, after all you had one previously so you knew what were the pains like when the time came and stuff, right?

which one you found easier, is giving birth in water more calming and relaxing (physically as well - muscles etc) or?!

rock on guys yer awesome! \m/__^_^*__\m/

  • @evedroid it's hard for me to compare because with my son i had an epidural. i would say his labor was more painful because my body was ramped up on pitocin, which i strongly encourage anyone to avoid if at all possible. it puts your body into overdrive! olive's birth was more gradual in it's intensity and pain increase. i greatly preferred natural childbirth over a medicated one

  • Comment removed

  • So lovely! Thanks for sharing this...Makes me want another one or two or...and I have 4 ~ 2 being twins....oh...and I just turned 55..LoL.And my their ages are 29,24,22, so probably not..But Yes, I'm crying tooo..I'm a doula as well and good births especially always make me cry..especially beautiful one's like yours! : )

  • How is Olive? I hope she's happy and healthy, umm quick question: How did it felt like giving birth just want to know if i want any kids of my own.

  • Honey, that's not really a question you can answer lol. I suppose it's different for everyone, plus it also depends on how big the baby is when it's born, and how wide your hips are, some women barely need to push because the child is so small and it pops out, and some take longer. The actual giving birth isn't the part that most women dislike, it's the contractions before when the cervix is stretching that hurts the most. But once you have your kid in your arms, you forget the pain.

  • @OohYummyCupcakes I had to ask........I'm just curious.

  • @Pikminlinkfan23 olive is an ornery 4 year old now! time flies!

birth is hard work, no changing that. and all birth is going to involve pain in one way or another. i prepped myself pretty thoroughly for what i felt it was going to be like. it was intense, but well worth it. it's what our bodies were made to do!

  • @softletters Yeah my mom said that she wished me and my sisters where her babies again. Ouch! Like intense when we girls have to handle menustration pains. I had this funny thought i've seen couple of pics of mpreg births (Male pregnancy) And i was thinking about it would be funny if males have to handle giving birth to children. Funny right? Its good to hear olive is healthy and ornery. :-)

  • what's name of this song ?

  • The swallows have become eagles ; )

  • How long was your labor and how long did it take for you to push?

  • What a wonderful video. I wanted to have a natural as I could birth for my first baby but unfortunatly I had preeclampsia and had to have lots of meds. Nearly stroked. congradulations on your little family.

  • I loved the photos of your expanding belly :) Your "love" (tattoo) grew with each passing week! haha! Very lovely :)
