Would we be true followers of Jesus if we did not practice what he taught us? Love (even to your enemies), forgive (even to your enemies), charity, obedience, and worship only to God are the teachings of Jesus. If we say we believe, yet do not walk the walk, then are we truly believers?
The Quran teaches this as well, including belief in Jesus and his teachings.

Jesus did not teach that we should appease, compromise and refuse to seek the truth through discussion.
However he taught by word and example, this should NEVER be accompanied by killing and maiming. What would be the point? Jesus said "MY KINGDOM is not of this world. The Quran on the other hand has 149 verses that commend use of violence, all in context; Surah 9 has several, 'kill the unbeliever where you find him', 'lie in wait and set traps for the unbelievers' (paraphrased), that means quite alot of people should be killed; doesn't sound like an 'all merciful' god to me!

thirdly, muhammed is not of the line of the prophets, another prerequisite for true prophets. the covenant of God is made with Isaac - Genesis 17:19-21. Ishmael was blessed and made a great nation; Arabia. But the covenant is clearly made with Isaac, v.21.

muslims dont have versions of the arabic Quran. there are translations but none is judged as the same as the Arabic Quran. all sects are having same arabic Quran. but catholic bibles have 7 chapter more that protestant bibles. syrian orthodox christians have saint thomas gospels but all other christians say those are herecies. so many varriations. bibles not only varry in translations they varry in having more or less chapters.
