  • great cover, you GOT it!

  • awesome, cant wait to get my 600 in mere hours...gotta love craigslist, $110 in brand new condition.

  • Excellent job on difficult vocals.

  • amazing performance.

i just got a newer br-800, br-600 looks a lot easier to use and it is the same things pretty much.

  • are those real drums?

  • @NERDFREAKINGPOWER No, Nerd; it's the rhythm feature of my recorder.

  • Nice! sounds like some of the Frank Zappa's song-parodies :D

  • I heard this song in one of my mums songs truly madly deeply, you do a nice version, and it shows off the boss br 600, one question, did you try the built in condensor mics?

why did you go with the dynamic mic?

  • Excellent performance, nice harmonies and a good advert for Boss! Well done.

I play around with a Zoom MRS16... great fun isn't it?

  • Well done.

  • Fantastic vocal.............

  • Great job man. Really cool vocals. If you get a chance, please check out my Kiss cover that i did with my boss br.

    5 stars

  • Great job on a great song

    -Nelson

  • Great job on a great.

  • cheers from Madrid

  • great work mate. lovely choice of sung and well sung - my bag

  • two questions... if I want 2 guitars on one track (rythm and lead) should I first record one track and then record on it with the other track? and the second: how much distortion can that take and still sound good?

  • Hey Drug, You can record your guitars on separate tracks, which will enable you to add effects such as reverb, chorus, distortion, etc., and adjust the balance (left-right). Once you get them the way you want them, you can bounce them and put them on a single track--I think. I haven't tried that. But in fact you can bounce any number of times to free up tracks for further recording.

  • As far as the amount of distortion, someone else will be a better authority on that since I play nylon strings. Good luck and happy music making.

  • @drugdrunkker Yep , the BOSS , at least mine [boss BR-8] can deliver hard rock , heavy metal and even thrash and death metal tones , the COSM models are real good at that .

Even if i'd recommend a Line6 POD if you're serious with distortion [i mean , sure, an amp head . Try to crank a 100w head , mike and mix this ... Kind of a nonsense to me , and this small 5w combos ... don't hope they'll sound like a cranked 100w stack in a big LA studio . But they're cool i have to admit]

  • Nice job. Thanks for posting it. Just for the record (pun intended), the song was originally done by Frankie Valli.

  • Very very good!

I have a question, just bought br-600 but my external microfoon is not working. If I plug in (mic from mixer) dirctly in to the recorder BR-600 I don get any sound. I understand now is no no phantom power!!! Is are solution for this problem maybe extrnal phantom power? Have been previously using Behringer B1 recordnig mic with my mixer (with phantom power).

Wat kind of external microfoon I have to bay?

  • I'm not sure, Ivo; I don't use phantom power. I mike everything except the bass, which I record directly--via the guitar jack. Try plugging your microphone directly into the recorder, either mic 1 or mic 2. Hope this helps.

  • Well thank you I just purchased dinamic mic sm58!

  • This song you performing is absolutely great!

  • Hello yes you buy a 12 V/ 48V Phantom Power box. batterry optional. Mine is the Artcessories.,,,50 $ Canadien..

  • Another thought: Or did you mean using the built-in microphones? I don't use them. Rather, I plug in a low impedance microphone (one that picks up only close sounds, as opposed to one that will record everything in a room, like a conference). The low impedance mics pick up only my instrument and not other household sounds. Works pretty cool. =)

  • I think you mean recording a guitar acoustically vs. direct recording. I do the bass directly, but my only guitar is a classical, so of course used a microphone. I've never tried recording a guitar directly, but I presume you could make it sound the way you want, unless you want it to sound like an acoustic. Not much help. . . .

  • I have a br 600, and I had a question to ask you as a fellow user.

Does it seem as if the guitar sounds better acoustically and using an external mic and that when you plug one in it sounds kind of... fake? I'm not sure what the word is I'm looking for, but do you know what I mean about the sound quality of the plug in mics?

  • Hey. I was looking into buying a Boss Br 600. Do you have trouble with the memory card?

  • I got no trouble with the memory card.

Рowever, I've got ahother one just bigger.

Never mind - bye that boss and have fun!

  • can i ask you how do you turn a song into a video to add on to youtube? how do you add the pictures

    Thanks

  • Easy, Poly; I use Windows Movie Maker. It's probably already on your hard drive; it comes with most computers. Pretty easy to use, too. Hope this helps.

  • It's a puzzle why this is as highly rated and viewed as it is. I've posted a dozen songs, and this was the first one I did. It's also the only one from the 70s; the others are from the 40s, an era I like. My guess is that this song is better known, whereas the others I've done aren't known much at all. I think this is my worst effort here on YouTube. My best is the most recent, Moonlight Becomes You. What do you guys think?

  • Nice work on this one boys,, love it..its highly rated and viewed because the Walker Brothers were a huge name in the UK and this was a huge hit, also Scott Walker is still around and making music keeping it all going, if it was bad we Walker fans would really let you know,, but its great love it!

  • Thanks, Ragged. Your response makes sense.

  • Very nice. 5 stars.

  • By the way, does it have effects like reverb and chorus and such you can put on your vox? And how is the USB connectivity. Thanks

  • You bet, Svartel; it has effects. Bunches for an electric guitar, but I don't use them; I play a classical. Effects for vocals include panning--but you can't tell here; everything's mono--reverb and chorus.

I'm not sure what you mean by USB connectivity. You hook up a USB cable (not provided but commonly available--I bought mine at a Wal Mart) and scroll to the USB menu option. Pretty easy after that.

Check my other vids; all vocals have a touch of reverb and chorus.

  • just bought one of these on ebay today, i can't wait to receive it

  • Cool for you, Benji. Suggestion: record something short that you don't care that much about, and then go through the entire process--recording multiple tracks, bouncing, mastering, exporting to your pc, and converting to MP3 (if you wish--I use a downloadable program called Audacity for that). Then you'll understand the entire precess, and won't mess up the first song you care about. Good luck, and I'm looking forward to your first YouTube entry. Roger

  • nice one i'll do that. i think i have audacity on my pc. cheers mate =]

  • Something some people don't really know is that you can convert .wav to .mp3 on a windows PC for free, though its a strange process. You can put the .wav on a CD and then rip it to Windows Media Player as a .mp3.

  • Fortunately, you don't need to do that to convert a .wav to .mp3!!!! Just use a software CDex for instance...

  • nice, i got one already. Its really cool, but it took me awhile to learn how to use it. But once you get the hang of it, the things you can do with it are so cool.

  • wow! this sounds great keep it up

looking forward to hearing more songs
