I rode the bench playing football in college. I was put in for a couple of games when the starter was hurt. I played safety and the first game I was lit up by the opposing quarterback. It was embarassing. I was burned twice in the first quarter of the second game, then something happened when I made a tackle and the back coughed the ball up.
