Thanks to all the kind words, I only posted this to encourage others with limited mechanical abilities that you can get to a running bike. It will require the exchange of cases of beer and listening to many a war story but you can get there. :)
@Allroy21 Thanks man, I put a lot of time into it, I am still tooling around with the oil leaks but it's fun as hell to tool aroun on. That's the main reason I put pictures of it online. When I was first starting to build it I would watch videos of other for hours and hours. When you get yours done send me a link.
@CochiseCountyChopper Thanks, it's fun as hell to ride. I am a pretty mellow person but my goal was to build a bike that when park someone would assume they would get their asses kicked by touching it.
@artblind I would send you some higher res pic if you wanted, would be cool to see what you come up with. Not sure how to send them over to ya though. Never been a fan of the OCC style bikes. Rather have somthing bare bones with just mechanical beauty. Give me your email and I'll send them over somtime.
Did not fab the pipes. They are just an old set of slash cut pipes my buddy had laying around. The chrome was chipped and pitted, but I wanted them powder coated with high temp flat black anyway. They pipes cost me nadda, thanks to my friend Doug.
@newsociety1978 AWesome bike dude not a fan of the usual Z bar types but your bars are just right! I always believed a bikes bars in open chassis styling should have its bars nice and low! God I want one now! It sucks :( lol you should be so proud to beable to take a stroll into the garage and just stare and wonder where you and it are going to go tommorrow on the open road :) Man im high and your fuckin video gave me the vision lol :P Again nice bike dude
So true, you also don't need tons of cash. Built the whole bike for less than the cost of a Harley motor. Love to get that what the f**k is that look when I ride it.
isnt a bobber a bike with that old fashioned suspension on the front that uses one spring at the top near the bars and little swing arms either side of the front wheel and forks with parallel rods going to other little arms where the spring is at?
Thanks man, don't stop tryin and you'll get it on the road. I bought this bike as only a frame and a motor on the ground. Gear box was totally full of rust. you'll get there.
Yeah I should have done spokes stainless, but the wheels were already laced and I was too lazy to do up, I think it would have turned out better. Maybe I'll change this later. Thanks for looking

did you fab the pipes yourself? if not where did you find the set? more particularly the left hand pipe?

sounds like what you are describing is a springer front end. Some bobber have them, some don't.
