@bitterending14 Chelsey owned the covergirl shot but this cycle was about finding a high fashion model for Italian Vogue, not a commercial model. An was natural high fashion. All i saw in Chelsey was commercial. An's photos were chosen 1st by professionals for 5weeks in a row+1week before finale. Also, An could sell much better then Chelsey since A LOT of girls out there could relate to the ugly duckling becoming a hot model, showing the product's strengths. Overall An clearly deserves the title

And here's the thing; the professionals job is to choose a picture that the public will like. For example, they loved Kasia in Cycle 16, but in general, she was disliked by the public. They are falliable, and they don't always get it right; and for me, they didn't get it right.

I never said Ann doesn't deserve the title. I just said I felt Chelsey was better.

@bitterending14 A CoverGirl(CG)shot isn't supposed to be high fashion, it's supposed to be a beauty shot that is commercial to display/sell the CG product. IMO, Chelsey's shot wasnt high fashion. Beauty shot of the face aren't high fashion unless it involves stylized(excessive?) make-up and/or the creepyface pose. There were no high fashion component at all in her CG shot. Just because it wasn't the typical CG look, doesn't mean it's high fashion. However you are entitled to your own opinions :)

I think that is a flawed concept of high fashion. High fashion shouldn't need to be excessive in the bizarre to be high fashion; it can be, definitely, but you shouldn't need that to pull off high fashion. High fashion can be as simple as commanding attention through power - which Chelsey did in hers.

And if this CG was not meant to be HF, then this entire cycle is flawed, too..but I already thought it was, really. :P I thought it was since Kacey got 2nd call out in week 4.
