Some cities and counties dont allow pit manuevers, or don't have the funding to send all the police through the training. Not to mention, pit manuevers are not generally allowed in traffic infested areas.

Why are the police chasing this person during high traffic on the highway? Is not the police also putting lives in jeopardy when doing this? There are such things that are called NO CHASE ZONES and most officers do not follow this protocol.
Second, why is it that every chase scene ends the same way? With the suspect surrendering and a horde of cops piling on top of the suspect in custody? Is it trained that it takes 30 cops to cuff, elbow and knee a surrendering individual?

The reason the officer kept a safe distance was because if he attempted a maneuver, it could have gone through each lane of highway and caused a multi-vehicle accident. Protocol dictates that if there's a risk of putting multiple civi' vehicles out of commission by stopping the suspect, let him keep going and cause less damage than the accident would.

Why are the police chasing this person during high traffic on the highway? Is not the police also putting lives in jeopardy when doing this? There are such things that are called NO CHASE ZONES and most officers do not follow this protocol.
Second, why is it that every chase scene ends the same way? With the suspect surrendering and a horde of cops piling on top of the suspect in custody? Is it trained that it takes 30 cops to cuff, elbow and knee a surrendering individual?

@25193 I am not saying what the suspect was doing was justified or right. But cops have a protocol and guidelines they must follow. One is if a fleeing suspect is putting other civilians lives at jeopardy, then they are supposed to call of the chase. Also, a cop is not judge, jury and executioner. They are not allowed to use excessive force to apprehend a suspect. When a cop breaks the law, it only breads contempt for others to do so...

The reason the officer kept a safe distance was because if he attempted a maneuver, it could have gone through each lane of highway and caused a multi-vehicle accident. Protocol dictates that if there's a risk of putting multiple civi' vehicles out of commission by stopping the suspect, let him keep going and cause less damage than the accident would.

The police did a good job, and yeah he should have gotten his ass kicked. However, after the first accident at 1:04 I think they should have just PIT'ed him between 1:04 and 1:27 it was open road just the guardrails. Like I said, that's my opinion it's a shame how many people were taken out by him.

The lead chaser rocks dude could have got away if he did not tear up the truck with all of the accidents he caused. He needed a good beat down. I would have taken him and busted a cap in his ass. He was very lucky it was still day light it if was dark he would have got shot just because.

No complaint for the show of force on the subject, he appaired to impaired anyway. But the chase should've been canceled well before it got that bad. About 5:20 into the vid, it began to look like a movie soon with vehicles just flying across the road. Description, white Chevy Trailblazer SUV occupied by a white male and tags. Go see the judge and get a warrant. Sometimes you have to 4get the "rush" and remember safety. Good they got him, but that was dangerous. Gud job on the cops overall
