I have the Plantronics Voyager Pro and I'm wondering if I can my turn by turn voice instructions through my earpiece. I have an iPhone 3gs, and am using Tel Nav GPS
worst bluetooth i have ever purchased.....it filters out the wind and other noise so damn good that no one can hear you....Im a ups driver and i literally have to stop or put my hand over the talk piece so the wind wont affect what i am saying....infact the wind that i am hearing everyone else hears it also
It's a good headset yes. But if you are a user who puts it in your pocket alot and doesn't just use it for car use like I do, than it's more pron to falling apart. The ear piece has started to tear on me, the boom has become almost stiff and the main joint between the earpeice / boom, and the battery pack split and cracked, I did an eay fix with some electrical tape and a lighter.
Do they really do all that to ALL the headsets be4 we get them at stores, becuzz if they do, then its not our fault if it breaks, also i love everything about this headset, but i gotta be honest, it duz sound muffled, i certainly wouldnt ever wanna hear music thru headphones dat sounded like dat...nice commercial and i am thinking of getting this...
I just got this BT and I must say I am not impressed with it....I was using the Voyager 510 and the incoming sound quality on that is light years better than the pro...The sound on the pro is so muffled it sounds like someone has their hand covering the speaker...I thought maybe I had a defective unit but a quick google search shows several complaints with the same problem....
@genesis667 It's funny because they use the same speakers and technology for the two... hmm wonder who is wrong in this one? The human mind can make some wierd assumptions.
If you Google it you will see numerous other people that said basically the same thing that the sound is muffled compared to the 510...It was a great looking headset, the sound quality was just not there...I've owned several BT headsets from the Blueant to the Jawbone line and the sound quality on the PT 510 is by far the best I've found...It's far from the best looking headset, but it's performance makes up for it...
I did phone equipment support at a massive call center for about 3 years, and sometimes various headset manufacturers would send us their producsts to try to get our business. I've tested tons of wireless, bluetooth and VOIP headsets from GN Netcom, Sennheiser, Jabra, Plantronics and others.
Plantronics is hands down the best headset manufacturer there is.
I'm a believer! My Voyager Pro has been working flawlessly and is so much better than my Jawbone Prime in terms of ergonomics, sound, and noise cancellation. Thank you Plantronics.
Just got this from Best Buy, I drive a Rollback and I cant seem to get a headset sound good while im driving down the road.... Will test this and leave another comment.. thanks
I drive tractor trailer. I just returned the BlueAnt X9I because people said they couldnt hear me with the extra noise coming from a large tractor truck... I was wondering how well this would do...
I bet it's pretty good given the large battery pack. Plus it's a replacement for the Voyager 520, which I've heard has excellent battery life....site says 6 hours of talk time. Not many headsets have more than 5.
