This will be me in 12-18 months when I get my MX-5. I live in the area and will no doubt be making a few trips along the Old Pac... Nice video, despite the hate you seem to be getting. A fixed camera mount would be nice though. :P

learn the rd before you make a vid. i've had HQ holden utes hanging on better then that, NO power steer and drum brakes. jap crap withy a shit driver. I'd have ya in my girls 88 lazer LMAO
lol. fwd beating a rwd. your average honda civic runs 17 seconds or slower on the 1/4 mile. the slowest miata on dragtimes is in the high 16's. rx7's are even faster than that.
why do you think there are NO supercars that are fwd. hence the name fail wheel drive.
can you get a type r in the usa? no. the most you get is 197hp at a sky high 7800rpms. hp/liter doesn't mean crap if you have to rev that high to get the power. not to mention a used miata with a little time and money will smoke a type r for the same price. and then here come the corners where a miata is far superior to a civic.
