I'm a victim of a male texting while driving. He was driving a Dodge 3500 Diesel. He ran a red and side-slammed my 99 S10. It ended up on it's side. I was in serious condition and spent almost two months in rehab. Even though texting while driving is a criminal offense, my lawyer failed to sue him for dangerous driving because, "Well it WAS an ACCIDENT".

She clipped a Honda, crossed sides and hit the toll booth... In more graphic photos, half her head is gone. Pretty girl, and such a tragedy. they have to put a lot of cameras in the road to capture anyone using the phone either text or call and to put a hard penalty in any case and to inform the world of such action so to prevent it from happening more!

I think they should relax the drug laws a little and put more people in prison for their behavior out on the road. I'm older and actually remember a time when police would arrest you and take you in for doing ten over. you spent the night in jail and went before the judge the next day or monday. Bad drivers kill alot more innocent people than drugs or guns and there is no excuse for most of it although sometimes an honest mistake or brainfart can really happen.

@NoMAIG Around here, teenage/college aged girls are yacking on their phones while driving, but texting or looking something up on the internet while driving is predominantly done by college aged guys middle aged business men. It infuriates me daily to see this every mile that I have to drive. Im soo sorry for your loss. These accidents are stupid and can be prevented, but America and the rest of the world are so conceived with themselves, they do not care about other people. What they don't realize is their driving a loaded gun and picking up the cellphone is like pulling the trigger. More than just fines need to be put into place for this, I mean drunk drivers dont get off with a warning or ticket, they get arrested and the same should be for texting

From :48 to :52 you have 2 images of Nikki Catsouras and her wreck which occurred after she had an argument with her family and stole her dads Porsche, driving it on the highway at over 100mph before crashing. She died as a result of emotional driving, not texting while driving. I hope your teacher caught that. It leads me to believe other images are not text wrecks either.

There is a website out there that I read some of the Police report from the Britnee Moore case. The report said that Moore was allegedly tested for alcohol but not for drugs. Does that sound strange to anybody else? To be tested for alcohol but not drugs if a fatality is involved. My office was surprised by that. The website talked about the dangers of cell phones and driving and warned about the dangers if people drive under the influence of drugs and the use of cell phones. That's scarey man.

I just have to say... Thank you for making this video. I PERSONALLY knew Hope Maley. She would have graduated with me, and Its so sad because... This March 13th, will be the three year anniversary of her death. It was just a very sad time. I find myself still crying about it at times.
